FIrst the "sweeps" by the Border Patrol in the interior, and now this. I'm sure this is just coincidental and has absolutely nothing to do with an upcoming election. Uh-uh. No sir.
I wonder why NOW city agencies are finally following the law...
But they better keep it up after the elections.
I wonder what prompted this little bit of sanity to finally kick in? Anyway, big BTTT
Knowing the ways of bureaucracy, actions being taken now are the result of decisions made months ago. What was said 2-4 months ago that supports what's happening now?
Is this continued fallout from the I-10 Shootout?
Well, we might as well get it over with and prod the lawsuit to show who really runs this country. People do need reminding every once in a while.
. . . In May, however, officials notified families who were already receiving assistance in 1995 that the rule would be applied to them as well.
So we know they are here illegally, we know where they live and instead of picking them up, we paid their rent for them? This world is insane!

How do you say PING in Spanish...

There's something decidedly hinky about all of this.
This needs to be coupled with workplace enforcement, otherwise it will just look bad: we want them to come here to work, but we kick them out of their apartments.
Well, it's about time. Better than doing nothing. Needs to be done nationwide.
Oh those poor Mexicans just can't hang on to their paperwork so we kick them out of their charity houses. Cry me a Rio Grande.
