TEL AVIV, Israel, June 11 (UPI) -- A Palestinian couple frustrated over their inability to marry approached Israeli lines hoping to be shot together, it was reported Friday.

Soldiers suspected the couple were not militants and held their fire, the Yediot Aharonot newspaper said on its Web site.

The couple in their late 20s have been friends for six years and upon questioning, told officials they could not marry because of a dispute between their families, a military source told United Press International. They decided suicide was their only option.

They approached the Kfar Darom settlement early Wednesday. The woman dropped her bag when soldiers approached and hugged the man when soldiers pointed their guns at them. Soldiers asked the woman to move aside so they could search the man, but she would not let go of him until shots were fired in the air.

After searching and questioning the pair, the army released them, confident they were not affiliated with any terrorist organizations.

Ok, but what, if one is a Muslim, does one do about Muslim wrongdoing?

IIRC, Islam denies the Divinity of Christ.

so did jesus

As do the other Jews. No one (sane) doubts that they worship the same "God" as Christians?

any i will use spell check from here on out

I dont think a spell check will help you much, the weirdness is not so much the wrong (or in some cases, british) spellings but the way you build a sentence. And it's not just mistypings or even dyslexia (except perhaps the "Christain" which is a frequent dyslexia-thing).

If I were to guess, I'd say you were someplace in England but not a native Englishman.

I'm a Jew. I'd like to believe that you and your 1.2 billioni brethren throughout the world would not like to kill me. Sadly, I'm just not sold on that and if it comes to defending myself, I will.

You say you used to be a Christian, but now are a practicing Muslim. Your understanding of Jesus, however, reveals that you don't know the faith that you converted from.

The Creator refers to Himself in Scripture in the plural. Very strange grammar, but it's right there -- He's at once both a single God (or Godhead), and also a trinity, One Who expresses Himself in three Persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

It's clear that the Creator and Allah are not the same, no matter what some might say. There is really no way to become one of God's beloved Children but through the grace of God, as expressed in the sacrificial gift of Jesus' death on the cross. It's through faith in Christ that you can live a life reconciled with God.

My friend, please re-consider the freedom and purity and love and truth and power and salvation of the faith that you've left.

follow his laws ...

That's precisely the issue. There is not one of us who has followed His laws such that we earn any kind of standing with Him. None but One, the One in Whom if we place our trust we will join Him in Heaven in eternity.

This is exactly the issue -- Christians are saved through grace through faith in Christ, and respond to this love of God by our obedience. There is no way anyone can earn favor through their poor attempts at following His laws.

You, my friend, are a lawbreaker, and always will be. I am too. Consider following the One who fulfilled The Law.

i refuse to let some nut job define islam.

Then you better do something about the radical Imams,
the Islamist murderers, the fanatic madrasses, etc. etc.

You cannot defend Islam and not do so.

Fair enough. Slavery, in general, was a curse.

Slavery, in general, was a curse.

True enough, and hundreds of thousands of AMERICANS died
ending it, muslims will have to die trying to
end the curse of Islamic fanatism within their own religion
before the world can accept them as peaceful.
