That is the DNC talking point "unlike Bush" kerry was a politician during Reagan.
Kerry bashed Reagan.
Kerry opposed Reagan.
KERRY SUPPORTED THE USSR
KERRY SUPORT THE COMMUNISTS AROUND THE WORLD.
The only not like Reagan is the FAKE TEARS OF DEMOCRATS.

One thing is I believe many liberals have concluded that it is in their interest, at least for this election year, to praise Reagan as a great president, and then simultaneously attack Bush
There is no question they are doing that. The Slimes, starting with Krugman and moving to their front page today, has been mischaracterizing President Reagan's loophole closing tax bills of 1982 and (I think) 1986 as "rolling back" the "reckless" 1981 tax cuts. Gee.... Who calls his plan to raise taxes on the rich a "roll back"? I wonder...
But they are also attacking the Reagan legacy on liberal issues to help Kerry. Could the Old Grey Whore be more partisan?

Imus is a 100% Clymer. Was just channel surfing and hit MSNBC. They just had the entire Ray Charles rendition of "America" from the 1984 Republican Convention. The camera kept cutting between Charles, the Convention audience, and Presidents Reagan and Bush 41 plus Nancy and Barbra ( all in the same shot ). Was one of the most wonderful things I've seen replayed this week so far. After it was over Imus said that Ray Charles was probably the only black person there. Screw MSNBC.

It is the liberal dirtbags who love the loopholes. It is fly-over country voters who get battered with W2 withholdings. The welfare queens and illegals don't pay taxes, and the uber-rich like Soros, Ariana Huffington, etc., use the loopholes to avoid taxes. That's why they're always advocating higher taxes rates - they're not paying any taxes anyway...

They wouldn't allow anyone to get in line after 2:30AM. Showing up at 4 AM did not work out for me. Kristinn got on line at 11PM and when I talked with him around 5:15 he was just passing to Botanical Gardens. The Gipper could have been in the Rotunda for several days and the crowds would not have deminished.
I guess the Big Boss Man is following an old stage adage, "Always leave them wanting more" ;>)

I'm sure those honor guards are excited to be there...

Anyone know how they're keeping Hillary away from the cameras in this? Cattle prods? Tranquilizers? Or did they finally send her through shock therapy? Whichever Dem handler is keeping her subdued deserves a medal.

Nancy probably had no idea what kind of emotional response there'd be...
I was just imagining... what if the casket had been transported via train, stopping all along the way... imagine the crowds in "fly over country"...

Saw an interview the other day with a young man who was in the last known public photo of President Reagan. He and his grandfather were both immigrants from the former USSR, and saw the President in the park - he's a huge fan of President Reagan, and didn't hesitate to say so - left the CNN guy squirming because of his praise. When they asked him what they said to President Reagan, he stated (paraphrased) "Thank you for destroying the Soviet Union - if you hadn't done that, my family and I would still be stuck over there." The reporter asked what President Reagan's response was - "That was my job."

I think Shillery is pretty busy keeping Billy Jefferson on his meds. He supposedly wigged out when he didn't get to speak at the funeral.
Billy Jefferson actually thinks the funeral is about him.
He's also probably crying inside knowing he won't get this kind of response.

I believe it was seven or eight years ago - he was twelve at the time, looked to be nineteen or twenty years old now.

I agree with you, c in nyc; I never had a problem with Iran-Contra, except for the spin by the liberals who turned it into what they did. And I also stand by Ollie North.

Do we even know if she was at Wednesday's Congressional ceremony? I didn't see her, although I saw my other "esteemed" Senator (well... I hold Schumer in higher esteem than Hillary!, but that's not saying much).
I'm sure she'll be at Bubba's side today --- as she should be.
