I do, as well. That is what has me in tears now. I weep for our country and what it has become. I understand the sentiment, however, take a step back an look at yourself, the posters on this board, and Ronald Reagan. Reagan was the epitome of pious optimism. It isn't for us the stare at our navels and lament that there will never be another Reagan. There won't be, he's not Christ. Our lot is to strive to be like Reagan and live with courage, faith, humility, dignity, and integrity. Don't wait for another man like Reagan, be a man like Reagan.
We owe it to him and ourselves.

Catholic, Protestant, they are all ringing. Glory be to God! Thank you Lord for allowing us to have President Reagan while we did. He's Yours fully again now. Take him home to You Lord, and thank You again.

How symbolic too that it is spanning the whole breadth of the country. I just wish they could have had a train bring him to DC, so that people all across the nation could have gone to the tracks.

I believe that entire service at the National Cathedral was the most beautiful and triumphant funeral service I have ever witnessed.

...Bill Clinton left his program in his seat.... Gosh, how classless. Didn't he want to take that program to remember this wonderful service?!

I actually hope there is no coverage for the private event. Let the family and close friends say their Good Byes in peace, away from the glare of the media lights.
America was given a week to say "Good Bye". The least we can do is gove the family a little time, too. :0)

We here still move in twilight. But we have one beacon to guide us that Ronald Reagan never had. We have his example. Let us give thanks today for a life that achieved so much for all of God's children." Powerful, powerful stuff.

Absolutely beautiful ceremony.
I enjoyed very much listening to former President Bush. He was obviously choked up, but humorous and personable. I forgot how much I enjoy hearing him speak. His son was very good in his remarks.

That is a very kind gesture, Tamsey. I am hoping to catch one of the replays today or tonight. Maybe it will be on over the weekend?
My cable was restored during "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," which thrilled me greatly. I just love that song -- especially when it is sung "big."
If I don't catch a replay, I might FReepmail you, okay?

Mine, too. Its been a pleasure to watch him, steadfast and elegant but unobtrusive.
