Posted on 06/10/2004 2:28:07 PM PDT by alisasny

Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.

Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.

Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.

and God love um for standing in line on a brutally hot day to pay their respects. I am so proud to be an American, but especially now. The world is seeing Americans at their finest.

Agree totally PING. It's no wonder, then, than the neonazis of the Fraudcast Lamescream Media want to get back to Abu (Power) Ghraib, and to Flipper's lead in the polls...

For all Clinton's faults, please remember that everyone is forgiven by God.

Even Bill.

On the other hand, pompous asses who show up to pay their respects to the Gipper with Terry McAuliffe in tow might have some problems....

Be Seeing You,

Chris

It's almost as if the President was trying to gain some of Reagan's strength when he placed his hands on the coffin.

"The hatred of some folks for this wholly good man just stuns me."

I have come to understand that those people are evil and hate this country and what to change it into something preverse.

June 8, 2004 - The George Bush Forty-One Endowment today announced that it would open a free public viewing area for President George Bush's parachute jump on the grounds of the Bush Library and Museum on the campus of Texas A&M University next Sunday, June 13th. It is estimated that this free public viewing area will have space for 5,000 individuals. General public parking opens at 10:00am.

The 41st President is making this solo parachute jump the day after his 80th birthday as part of a "41@80" weekend of events. The United States Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights, is participating in the jump as part of their mission to promote military service. Actor Chuck Norris and journalist Brit Hume of the Fox News Network will also participate (excerpt)

A record on their Metro subway system on Wednesday alone. Astonishing, isn't it. That's the kind of nugget of news and info I always look for -- something the bigger media usually ignore.

I'd be willing to bet well over two million will have tried to participate in some way this week in DC, even if they couldn't get into the Rotunda.

I suspect as many as 250,000 (maybe more) tried to do the same thing here in California: in Santa Monica, lining the routes to Simi Valley and Point Mugu, and going to the library vicinity to leave flowers and mementos. The streets all around the library were decorated with signs, flags, candles, etc.

The media doesn't look at the whole picture when giving estimates.

I don't know about the first part. I was raised to believe you had to be sorry for your sins and ask for forgiveness AND not do it again! I don't know if there is a provision that if you don't think it's a sin, is it? LOL

I can just imagine the look of pride and tremendous gratitude he'd have shown Cpl. Wright had the opportunity presented itself.

Imagine extreme tackiness and anything Dr. J. Elders wanted to teach our kids in schools - there's BJ Clinton's plans.

In 1963, during the Kennedy funeral processing, there were no bands or music of any kind. All the people were kind of in shock and most were crying. As the caisson started, all you could hear was this drum beat.

This morning, Rush played a tape of that sound, along with the sound of the horses hoofs and I just burst into tears. I don't know what there is about it, but it's very stirring.

I was expecting that yesterday, but the music was so loud and there were so many bands, you really couldn't hear the drums or the horses.

Where do we find such people?

Dear God, please help America to be worthy of the good leadership that You have granted to us.
