Yeah, we let it go when they're Cub Scouts and in 10 years they'll have an Arab wearing panties on his head.

"Why....why is that boy saluting with his cap off? That's not right. It's not right"

I think not.
The cub scout might be thinking, after looking at the honour guard, when I grow up I want to be a soldier.

And another generation takes up the calling to defend this great nation.........

"If you could salute with your cap on, that would be great"

If it were Hillary, I can tell you what SHE'D be thinking...
"Dang! I should've charged admission."

Of course, if she did, she would only get two bits...

I have left the TV on C-Span since 0630 and just catch parts of it coming in and out of the house doing chores. I've seen several of the dignitaries and their entourages and I did catch Senator Frist and the new Iraqi interim President Ghazi Yawer. However, the most touching scene that I have seen today, was when Deputy Sec of Defense Wolfowitz escorted a young military man (I think Army) into the rotunda. His body had been ravaged by war wounds...his left arm amputated just below the shoulder...the right hand amputated to mid forearm. He walked with a pronounced limp, and he had scars on his forehead and on the back of his head. He stopped at President Reagan's flag draped coffin and pulled himself up full attention and saluted....that's when I lost all control of emotion. I hope a lot of people saw that today.

If Billy gets alzheimers, do you think Hillary will stand by his side and care for him for 10 years, or will she dump him in a nursing home?

That one tore my heart out.
Think he was a Marine but makes no difference. I just wanted to be able to go up and hug him and tell him how much I love him.

It's fun to talk about but the fact is I really couldn't care less about that trailer park soap opera.

I saw that. I decided to keep it on for a few hours and then they stopped letting people in when he came in with Sen. Frist.

What I dont get is if the wait on line is 4.5 hours how come some times the room seems empty. Sometimes people are lingering and sometimes they just keep moving. No consistency. Also sometimes theylet the entire room fill up for guard change and others is just about empty.

I heard on Fox that at times the line has been halted due to security concerns. There wasn't any additional info on those concerns.

I also heard that people in line are checked at as many as 8 security checkpoints befor getting in which may be why it runs so inconsistent.

Amazing. But it'd be well worth it, just to pay my respect.
