Two civil rights groups, the Movement Against Racism and For Friendship Between People and the League of Human Rights, brought the lawsuit because of several passages in the book. The civil right for which they are fighting is the Orwellian "right" not to be offended.

And the French merrily accuse Ashcroft of violating civil liberties . . . even as they suppress free speech (Bardot) and freedom of religion (ban on students wearing Muslim scarves or Christian crucifixes to school). They are either hypocrites or abysmally lacking in self-awareness and a capacity for self-criticism.

One of the most incriminating sections read: "I am against the Islamisation of France! This obligatory allegiance, this forced submission disgusts me.... Our ancestors, the elderly, our grandfathers, our fathers have for centuries given their lives to push out successive invaders. She is so right. Here in America we are faced with the same problem, and if we speak out against open borders and illegal immigrants we become the enemy of those around us. Some day soon when these immigrants run our government we will be treated just like Bardot. Or worse.

PARIS (AFP) - Former French actress Brigitte Bardot was fined 5,000 euros (6,000 dollars) by a Paris court for writing a book in which she declared disgust with her country's tolerance of Islam. Of course, we wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feeeeeeeeeelings now would we?

Orwell was right about everything, just 20 years optimistic on the date.

The two groups which sued the ex-actress were each awarded a symbolic one euro in damages.
So these groups wasted a bunch of time suing her and won a whole 2 Euros? That doesn't sound like a big deal to me.

>>In its verdict, the court ruled that Bardot had deliberately tried to draw a link between Islam and terrorism by mentioning the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States in a chapter on a Muslim holiday celebrated in France and elsewhere.<<
Ya think!?. . .ALL the hijackers/murderers on 911 WERE muslims and that, you idjut frog judge, is the truth---there is a link muslims and terrorism, and this link is as big as your french ego and offensive as your unwashed french bodies.
Bardot. . .come to America and stay!
To: KentTrappedInLiberalSeattle

The truth hurts, doesn't it?
What part of they want to enslave us with their pigeffing handa$$wiping meteor-worshipping cult or destroy us do they not get?
Islam is a cult of is a destruction. Their cult is founded by a lying tyrant who liked to make it with swine.
It is time we declared jihad on our enemy!
