Communist Public TV

Posted on 06/09/2004 5:15:34 PM PDT by Exton1

Here in San Francisco KQED TV is showing its true color. On the 60th anniversary of D-Day they showed some repeat of 70’s music. Today when every station is showing Regan’s funeral there showing cartoons. This is a station that will spend weeks and months with shows on Gay pride, or Black History. They will have shows on ever special interest groups, but will show nothing that is pro-American. What a bunch of anti-American Nazis. Oh the comment line is 415-553-2100. Let them know how you feel about their anti-American stance.

My response to those Enemies OF The State A: doesn't involve a phone, and B: is illegal in all 50 states, so I'll leave it alone. Suffice to say, it's to be expected from them.

The best way to handle this is don't call them and never watch them again.

No different here in Central Virginia. They are always fund raising and never seem to make their quota. After the seem to make enough for awhile, they stop showing good programming and go back to liberal Frontline and other Bush-bashing programming. That lasts until they need more money and then they show good programming again and beg for money "if you want to continue to see programs like these..." The people are wising up to that trick and not giving to P-BS anymore. The used to fund-raise twice a year, but now they fund-raise twice a month.

This station accurately reflects the social and political views of most people in its coverage area. In other words, it is PURE EVIL. If you are not, you should move. (Not kidding. It's the reason we don't live in the Bay Area right now.)

NPR and PBS suck. 'nuff said. (BTW, it's Reagan, not Regan)

Whenever a solicitation arrives with a postage-prepaid envelope, I normally stuff that envelope with torn solicitation, add all the [clean] trash that could fit in the envelope, AND THEN SEND IT. Since I make it as heavy as possible, they get stuck with higher postage bill, so I sort of give them a small negative donation. Feel free to use the technique.
P.S. My postman approved of it - it provided him with more paid work.

I agree; that's why I left the (formerly) great state of California 10 years ago and never looked back. We do occasionally go back to visit the family, and are again reminded why we left in the first place.

I have never financially supported "public" television, and I encourage others not to either. We already subsidize them via our taxes, which makes the pledge campaigns especially annoying.

I like the way you think... like a capitalist.

Unfortunately, that doesn't apply here. These people get their operating dough from the government, so they don't care if you watch. In fact, they want you to hate them. That makes them radical, and cutting-edge, and cool. You're just a puppet of the corporate, capitalist, fascist State... oh, and keep those tax dollars coming, OK?

Oh, man, why didn't I think of that??

PBS is nothing more than an comforting echo chamber for leftists. It presents news stories with a slant that confirms what liberals already are convinced of, and leaves out the parts that it doesn't want its audience to know. For example, the Carter years were certainly not a result of Carter's incompetence, and the
Reagan years of prosperity were certainly not a result of Reagan's competence. Republicans are uniformly clueless dummies and Democrats are 'brilliant yet flawed'. Their formula and modus operandi is so predicatable it stuns me that even the dimmest liberals haven't picked up on it yet.
