Nancy gets to the top of the steps into AF1, turns with the general, and gives a wave to the crowd. LOUD applause!!!

No, I know it isn't all of LA - there are a lot of good people there, I was thinking of the entertainment industry.

Weird as this sounds, I'd love to hear the air traffic control for this flight all the way out.

Me too!

Did you grab one of the crowds? The little girl with the flag? Inspiring.. they said the crowds are limited to those with permission to be on the base.

(btw...it took three full notes of the song before I teared up. I'm getting bitter and cynical in my middle age, it only used to take two.)

I hear ya. . .in the meantime, Nancy is well; amazing Nancy. . .up those stairs; was holding my breath, for her.

For the first time in a long while, Lester Holt resumes speaking on MSNBC. What a fine job he has done, IMO.

He remarks about Nancy's wave and the spontaneous applause, that we are reminded of the many times Nancy and her husband would walk to fly off somewhere and turn and wave to us together, before boarding.

Many Thanks to you TomGuy. What would the cubicle bound have done without you this week? You have truly brought history to us and I know I speak for many when I say, "Thank you."
