It'll be Gephardt. Kerry needs someone on the ticket who's duller than himself.

Richardson would be a good choice. Also Graham or Nelson from Florida. After 2000, Flordia is a magical rallying call for these liberals. It gives them a vehicle for building up phoney emotion and venom (as if they needed any).

This is like a lot of trial balloon floating - it's hard to know what is real and what is just a sounding to pick up reflected signals. I love the way they float a very large list in order to stroke the ego of people they need the assistance of - but whom they wouldn't select in a trillion years. Case in point - Wisconsin Gov. James Doyle. Very soon to be a one term governor - that would add absolutely nothing to Kerry. But they floated it anyway so that Doyle would get a few days of buzz.

Senator Edwards is liked inside Kerry headquarters, as evidenced by the Edwards bumper stickers in some cubicles.

Might also explain why Kerry stole Edwards idea for his plane

Gee what a match they make

My prediction has been it would be someone from the central time zone...someone that they think could deliver 1 state that might otherwise be close.

Clark would steal Kerry's Vietnam "Thunder". The Iowa Gov. is too obscure to be viable. Kerry needs to win the South. Edwards can play the poor millworker's son in every podunk Southern town between Memphis Tenn. and Fargo, Ga. which are places Kerry would stand out like a sore thumb.

Kerry/Edwards.

Mr. Kerry, please pick Bob Graham. He's got the fire! He's got the charisma! He's tanned, rested and ready! Go! Go! Go!

hehehe;)

A recent poll showed Kerry's Iowa numbers going down when he selected Governor Viltax. A second question on the poll showed Kerry much stronger without Vilsack.

Vilsack has no personality, so perhaps Kerry is thinking he doesn't want to compete with his own VP?

I have now become convinced that the arguments in behalf of Wes Clark for Vice President are overwhelming. No other candidate comes close.
