Either Clark or my idiotic junior senator, Bill Nelson.

It doesn't matter who one pics as their VP. No Presidential election has ever been won or lost because of the VP. At best, one might pick up a couple extra votes in that persons home state and hope to not lose votes in other states by the choice. So in reality, the VP selection means jack squat.

Unless of course you pick some bumbling idiot who should be in an assisted living center like Perot did in 1992.

Who am I and what am I doing here?

If Kerry picks Bill Sack, or Ball Sack, or whatever his name is -- I'd say this is a very good sign. This means the Kerry campaign feels the need to go the extra mile to win in Iowa. If Iowa is close, then a few other swing states are likely to be leaning Bush's way.

If he had half a brain in his head, his shortlist would be:

Fortunately, Kerry is obviously not that bright. Vilsack will probably get it because he is less of a threat to Kerry's ego than Edwards.

I have a feeling that if the Kerry campaign has actually leaked these two names (there are only two names), then it will end up being neither of them. They just want it to be a big surprise so the media can go ga-ga over it later.

My trial lawyer counterparts tell me that edwards has already told him that he's not the one. He doesn't strategically bring anything to the ticket either.

Bob Kerrey or Up-Chuck Hagel. That will ensure a Bush landslide in Nebraska.

Is there anyone that looks like Oliver Hardy that is a possible VP candidate since F'n is a Stan Laurel lookalike.
