The Carters and the Clintons both define the word "indecent". Unbelievable! Speaking of which -- have we heard from AlGore?

I think "traitors" is a better definition of the Clintons. As far as Algore goes, let's just say he invented the statement "out to lunch" and he's never coming back. :-)

Just caught a view of the live shot on C-span of the mourners filing by...Does anyone know if the same flag stays with the coffin for the entire week? Is that the one presented to Mrs. Reagan? Or do they change them, to have several as momentos?

These people are an embarrassment to themselves, and to America! I'm glad they were excluded.

"There's just no such thing as truth when it comes to him. He just says whatever sounds good and worries about it after the election." Presidential candidate Bill Clinton describing his opponent, George Bush (Quoted in the American Spectator, 10/28/92)

"The road to tyranny, we must remember, begins with the destruction of the truth." from a speech at the University of Connecticut, Oct 15, 1997.

"I haven't eaten at a McDonald's since I became President."

"I tried marijuana once. I did not inhale."

At a press conference July 21, 1999, Bill Clinton stated: "John Kennedy had actually not been back to the White House since his father was killed, until I had became president - and first he was on an advisory committee that made a report to me, and he came back to the Oval Office where he saw the desk that he took the famous picture in - you know, coming through the gate, for the first time since he was a little boy."

"The ultimate goal is to make sure that the United Nations can fulfill its mission there and continue to work with the Somalis toward nation building." (June 16, 1993)
"The U.S. military mission is not now nor was it ever one of `nation building.'" (October 13, 1993)

I don't expect either side to be giving any ovations at a funeral at the nation cathedral.

Fair enough, we all dislike Clinton - maybe they could ask Carter to do one of the scripture readings.

Basically what I am saying is that we know the media is looking for an issue here - they are tormented from having to provide all this coverage of the Reagan events. Do we want to give them an issue, would having Carter do a reading at the cathedral be so bad?

Clinton and Gore had 8 years in the White House to say something about Reagan -- I can't remember them saying anything nice!

I think we all know how Clinton and the Dem's felt about Reagan when they made that awful CBS movie. They have already given their speech about Reagan.

Sad to say, anything that saddens, angers, and frustrates Bill Clinton is likely to gladden, cheer, and revitalize me. Dan

LOL, me too!

Would you want people that castigated you speaking at your funeral? And you know what? Screw the media. These are the decisions of Nancy Reagan.

Just saw on FOX -- Kerry's supposed to be there at 2:15 PDT. What an opportunist. Even his advisors must want Kerry to lose -- we all know why Kerry is doing this!

Get over yourself. Carter would not be asked to do anything for a man he despised. You are starting to sound like Al Franken's SNL character here--paraphrasing in a whiney voice, "Would it be so wronggg..."?

I came close to posting about some of the ugliness over there, but nope, not gonna go there.

Let them mourn, not the passing of a great man, as many do. Sadly, though they do not seem to know it, they mourn for the emptiness within their own souls.
