PASSEX Polish-French Maneuvers
The Warsaw Voice ^ | 2 June 2004 | Marek Grzybowski

Posted on 06/07/2004 2:20:49 PM PDT by Grzegorz 246

During the PASSEX maneuvers in mid-May, Polish ships and naval aircraft conducted a joint operation with the French navy for the strategic protection of sea transport in the Baltic.

Among the Polish ships and aircraft participating in the maneuvers were the Sêp submarine, Kaszub anti-submarine corvette , two sub chasers, an M-28 Bryza patrol aircraft, two Mi-14 P£ anti-sub helicopters and two Su-22 aircraft. On the French side, the maneuvers involved the Jeanne D'Arc helicopter carrier, Georges Leygues destroyer and the Atlantic patrol aircraft.

The maneuvers involved a strategic sea convoy across the Baltic. The main vessel of the convoy was the more than 180-meter-long Jeanne D'Arc with a displacement of more than 10,000 tonnes. The crews, in cooperation with naval aviation, staged operations for the search, detection and destruction of submarines, defense against air attacks, monitoring and destruction of enemy targets.

Similar operations were earlier practiced by Polish and French ships in the Atlantic. Polish and French naval forces established cooperation even before Poland joined NATO. Marek Grzybowski

Sooner or later, after the EU dissolves two recessions hence, France will once again seek allies in the East against Germany. 1000+ years of history do not lie, no matter what Brussels may think.

Notice that the pride of the French navy, the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, did not take part. Its propellers fall off every time it goes to sea (no joke).

Poland has a long history of alliance with France, but has no illusions - the Poles remember 1939. The Poles know that the United States is the only ally that can be counted on in any crisis.

Yes, French allies, training is training but when comes to the battle, suddenly their ships have empty can, Baltic sea will been too shallow, wind too strong and French flag will been white flag.
Seriously when France help us? When we helped France they always betrayed us. Present policy it is joke, behind the Germany backs they demand and demand. But who cares! I hope that our voting kick their constitution away, to the western garbage.

And - as "His Majesty" Jacques Chirac has pointed once - "there are some slight cultural differences, between France ad Poland". If you didn't know - you Polish savage (as I am).

There is no doubt about it.
