I don't believe the audio was intentional. The minister had on a small mic, the only times I heard their private words occured when he leaned close to console.

I hope the family makes Nancy rest during the week.

"Make" being the operative word (she looks so fragile).

You sure about the DNC.....I almost can't believe that.

Well, they could always say it was just a "bureaucratic snafu". Yeh, that's the ticket!

Just as I read your post I saw a man with very long hair and denim shirt make the Sign of the Cross.

The funniest line has to be the remark made on the open mike:

"Ladies & Gentlemen, I have just signed legislation outlawing the Soviet Union forever. We begin bombing in 5 minutes."

Military Honor Guard bringing in Clinton's casket, for he will be ever known as the President who "loathed the military".

I remember hearing that, if you examine tapes closely, during every administration, that, before the President exits Marine 1, the Marines face toward the White House until the President gets to the steps leading down out of the chopper, then they turn in and face toward the steps. Not so during the Clinton administration aberration, I've heard but never confirmed.

Thanks for your thoughts -- and here's hoping you are feeling better.

My daughter is still trying to comprehend the difference between George Washington and George Bush! I think we will definitely go to DC, I'd kick myself if we didn't. Just showed two kids about our kids' age at the viewing in Simi Valley!

Enjoy Phoenix, my folks live in Goodyear and we were just visiting them in May. By coincidence, they are traveling to visit us now and will likely join us at the processional.

Having received a letter and then a Christmas card from the Bush family, Holly has no confusion. I am teaching her to call Kerry sKerry.

If you can get good digital pix, let me know. I am putting todether a great republican website and a Democratic parody of sKerrys, so any good material...

I will freepmail you my e-mail addy.

We've still got 4 days to go of this! Im already getting emotionally drained..

The thing to do right now is what you drift to. If you stick with the memorials, it's okay if it drains you as long as it is what you want. I'm like that right now and recall such times in the past. Believe me, it is better to be drained by love than anything else, and in the long run, it will help you go on.

Sgt. York is a handsome horse, got some T'bred in him.

Notice the farrier in the background. Probably putting borium shoes or studs on his shoes so he won't slip on the pavement.

I need some advice here. My son's college orientation is this Friday, all day. I was planning to go, but now I want to be home for the TV coverage of the funeral. What would you all do? Do you think that the funeral will be played over in its entirety another time? Many times? What would you do?
