I need some advice here. My son's college orientation is this Friday, all day. I was planning to go, but now I want to be home for the TV coverage of the funeral. What would you all do? Do you think that the funeral will be played over in its entirety another time? Many times? What would you do?

Do you think that the funeral will be played over in its entirety another time? Many times? I'm sure C-SPAN will have it archived on their website.

What would you do? Buy a VCR and some blank tapes.

I have the same problem, child's college graduation out of town.
I'm setting up 2 different VCRs, so that I can be sure to get the morning events in DC, then the 2nd machine can record later in the evening out in Cal., 6 hours on each machine, should get most of it.
I think a lot of it will be replayed on cspam though, if not late at night on other networks. But who knows for sure at this point.

My son's college orientation is this Friday, all day. My parents didn't go to college orientations with me. I don't remember parents being that involved in that.

Howlin would give up the rest of her life to be at that College orientation with her son.
Listen to her.

College orientation. I would go. Could be VERY important -- definitely more important than seeing the funeral live. At the college my daughter is headed to they practically require that a parent come.
