I was at the Reagan Library 6 years ago - to anyone who is considering going, it was fantastic. And they are adding many new things, and I am sure there will be an eternal flame at the gravesite now too.

I would take my kids too, but we live in the middle of NE. THink AF1 will be flying over us on Wednesday?

I'm teaching them love and respect of our President Bush, and "making" them watch the Reagan coverage--they'll remember it in the future, like I rememeber the day he was shot and my parents "made" me watch the news.

Here they come into Simi......

Our young, bleached blonde anchorette on TV last night pronounced it sih-my. What's up with kids today, anyway? Don't they have a clue outside of the MTV Music Awards, the Tanning Salon and Abercrombie & Fitch?

Massive crowds on the streets and overpasses, it's a tremendous motorcade with probably 28 vehicles, multiple CHP helicoptors over head, now approacing the Presidential Library.....

***What made it particularly poignant was that they said that when the President opened his eyes for the last time, they were clear, not clouded. (which was one of the hardest things for Nancy toward the end.) And Michael said, How wonderful that the last thing he saw here, was your wonderful smile, Mom, right before he got to see the face of God.**

OK, that did it--NOW I'm going to cry . . .

It looks like the motorcade is pulling into the library grounds...or very close to it.

Surfing, MSNBC had a wonderful shot of the flags flying at half staff in front of the building.

yes, I think they are still working on the air force one pavilion (??). I get all the mailings, I donate to the Library every month through payroll deduction (the United Way can go to hell), I was so impressed with it.

Is this road we are seeing now the road to the library, or does it go somewhere else?
