Last Tuesday-Wednesday we had some pretty bad storms in North Texas. A tornado in Arlington and high winds and rain in the D/FW metroplex.

I heard that 500,000 homes and businesses lost their electricity. The utilitiy companies worked day and night to get it restored. I heard there were still over 100,000 without electric as of Saturday, but they were supposed to get them all back up by yesterday.

I was one of the lucky ones. Tuesday night, the power must have gone out because 2 of my clocks were flashing and I had to reset them Wednesday morning. But I never lost it after that.

My first exposure to Reagan was in the early 70's on late night radio, while Nixon was still in office. I said then if this man ever runs for president, he'll get my vote. He cared as much or more about Real America as Real America cared about him.

He was a great man and after all his suffering I am glad he has moved on to his reward.
