Phoenix AZ, (June 6, 2004): Announcing PRESSCOURT.COM. PRESSCOURT is the people's voice in news coverage.
Freedom of The Press Requires Responsibility. Either Report The News And Not Your Own Agenda, Or You Will Wind Up In Press Court: Where The People Judge.
PRESSCOURT offers those who view, listen or read the news to report those who publish for having slanted, twisted or otherwise corrupted the news.
It does not matter if the slant is left, right or backwards. Slanting news stories at all is opinion and opinion has no place in news reporting.
PRESSCOURT will not process complaints for opinion programming, op-ed pieces, opinion shows, debate programs or those that offer opinion clearly identified as opinion. News stories that are not identified as opinion will be processed upon filed complaint.
Refer to the Rules of Court Procedure for details on infractions, processes and verdict procedure.
PRESSCOURT.COM is free to join, free to use and a place where standing up for responsible journalism can make a difference.
PRESSCOURT.COM is in Beta 2.0 and currently processing complaints against: The Washington Post, CNN, CNN.COM, The Norwich Bulletin, and Capital Hill Blue.

Link is bad. Also, how will this differ than say Media Research Center or Accuracy in Media?

Nice idea but the problem is the mainstream media simply won't report on complaints filed against it in Presscourt. Just like it doesn't address issues of bias now.
No...I think not reading or watching is the best solution.

Folks in the conservative blogsphere are going to love this. They dissect the liberal media on a daily basis and have become quite good at it.

Give me their address and I'll get them a subscription to the St. Petersburg (FL - Pravda West)Times. It will save a lot of time as otherwise I'd have to send in everything but the classifieds!
Truly disgusting propoganda - day in and day out. I cancelled my subscription recently as I do not want to pay them money to publish their agenda.

The point would seem to me not so much to address the media, but the advertisers.

This is great - as a free press the only recourse IS the advertisers. Maybe this is a way to get some accountability back and make it a Free and Responsible Press!
