The roadmap sets the Palestinians up to fail spectacularly, for all the world to see, in order to justify or mute world criticism of what will come next, *after* the Palestinians have used their new nation in an abhorrent (and entirely predictable) way.I doubt it. The roadmap already proves what these Arabs are even without them having their own independent state. Once they do, there will be no invasion of this new country and the retaking of it again. This country will sign defense pacts, etc, and might place UN troops on its border to prevent Israeli activity just like Hizbullah is doing in southern Lebanon.
Giving them a state will really put the place under occupation if Israel retakes it.
I agree with you Southack. There is more to this plan than is seen on the surface. This move is imparative for the implimentation of it. The US is completely determined to eliminate terrorism, where ever it is, and this is all part of that plan. President Bush stuck his neck out a mile when he agreed to Sharon's plan and he's not about to allow it to be changed. It's daring, but it is going to work.
