I was letting my chickens out this morning 6:00am when I heard he was failing. I sent up a prayer then. later this afternoon I was getting back from picking up the frizzles I had ordered and heard about his passing as I was getting out of the truck. Ive been in tears off and on since. He was a wonderful President and i had the pleasure of voting for him twice. President Reagan had a vision for all Americans and made it work! and he loved this country and its people. I just got the book GOD and Ronald Reagan,a spiritual life. I know it will be a great read and now i cant wait to get to it.
you will missed Mr. Reagan god bless you and your family.
I was driving on the express way....heard the announcement on the radio....about thirty minutes later I noticed that about 40% of the cars coming towards me on the opposite side of the hiway had their head lights on....looked in the rear view mirror, and saw the same.....i listened to ABC news radio special for four hours as I traveled through three states...ABC was very fair...did a very good job.....head lights on about 30% of all the cars on the road.
I was on the Internet, and saw it on Drudge, and then here. Didn't expect it for a few more days. It was like a punch to the gut.
I was at the gun range, sending pieces of lead toward paper. Had heard that his health was failing this morning, but didn't hear about his death till around 6:30pm est.
On the road from the Kentucky Republican State Convention, where that cold-fish Mitch McConnell invoked Reagan. All the while I reflected that in 1984, Mitch McConnell didn't have the guts to campaign along side our beloved Reagan. He kept arms-length distance--even then a crude, calculating neophyte.
Floating in my pool and listening to the radio.
Freepin'. I first saw the thread of President Reagan's passing although at the same time, my mother yelled back with the news.
Bump. Because...
I had just come home from watching the Thunderbirds at Maxwell AFB. My wife went to the computer to look for an e-mail she was expecting, and I turned on the tv and saw a snippet of ABC's hit piece, which I promptly turned off, suspecting that President Reagan had passed away. I made my wife get off of the computer while I checked Free Republic, to confirm my suspicions and get a better, more respectful report of the news.
I was returning home from seeing Harry Potter. I had just logged off the FR Reagan thread to go to the movies, and on the way home we heard the Mariners post game show talking about whether or not the game should have been stopped to lower the flag to half staff. My husband and I just looked at each other, and we knew.
President Reagan in his final hours and then upon his passing Got that Murder OJ slimpson off the topic of discussion in the media since his interview with that low life Katie Couric
Many folks had their headlights on...
I was at home and had FoxNews on. Between reporting on D-Day they were mentioning that President Reagan was very, very ill. Then they reported that Nancy Reagan said "This is it." I was doing this and that around the house and I missed Fox saying that he did die. When I finally caught up with the announcement, I felt both a sadness and a relief. My husband was watching TV when it was announced and he said "It's funny, President Reagan was suffering, he was 93, and I wouldn't wish that on anybody, but while he was still alive his American spirit was still with us. I said "President Reagan's spirit will go down on history as one of our greatest American Presidents". He said, "Yeah, you are right - he'll never be forgotten".
I was in my back yard, listening to right wing radio and watering some stubborn brown spots on the lawn.
I was in my office at work and heard the news on the radio.
I took my son out to celebrate his seventh birthday at Magic Mountain. Glad I heard the news later or I wouldn'd have been in a very good mood.
I was leaving a fundraiser with my wife and turned on the radio.
