The last great president (no offense President Bush) has passed into God's waiting arms. May he be blessed in his eternal reward, and may his family know God's love and peace in their time of sorrow.

Interesting that his wife has started calling for more funding of stem cell research to try and cure diseases like Alzheimers.

He was a blessing to our nation.

THANKS, DUTCH.
a great man, he showed me the way "up" from the Democrat Party. He allowed this wandering hippie-wannabe to feel patriotism and optimism, two things I thank God for.
Lord keep this fine soul, and send his strength to our current President, who will be a willing vessel.

My late father had an opportunity to meet President Reagan when he spoke at a Waukesha fundraiser for Bob Kasten and Jim Sensenbrenner in '86 or so.
My Dad was standing in a greeting line next to a man who brought his young son. When Reagan got to their place, the child was fussing and crying and the father was embarrassed and apologized to the President for his son's behavior. According to my Dad, Reagan got that glint in his eye and said "It's nothing I won't see in my meeting with Tip on Monday." Good stuff.

The greatest president of the 20th century. No doubt. The greatest since Washington, IMHO.

Rushmore is represented by Little Tommy, Taliban Johnson, and Hillary Junior Herseth. We need a different mountain sculpture in a better state.
