ABC just announced :( Ronald Reagan was 93
Agreed. That place is a cesspool.
Exactly.
Anyone know the address where messages of sympathy can be sent?
I would like to think that would be true......
I know what you mean.
Even knowing he'd taken a turn last night, it was still a shock and my eyes keep welling up.
Makes me more determined than ever to keep his legacy polished every way possible.
Reagan would never have sent Elian Gonzalez back to Castro.
How I loved that man.
I am at peace that he is at peace, but it still hurts.
Buy a bag of jellybeans, and keep them on your desk..

My sympathies to Nancy and the family.
What a beautiful idea - imagine a candlelight vigil at the White House with thousands of candles.
Wish I could be there, but Mr. Inspectorette and I will definitely be going to the Reagan Library for his laying in state, hope we'll be able to get within a mile of it
Thank you. I just sent a condolence message.
God bless his soul.
"I hope my Dad who passed last year is getting to meet his personal hero."
Re #535: what a wonderful post. It certainly brought fresh tears to my eyes. No one appreciates freedom more than a person who's lived under communism.
I have a funny story, kind of an aside. I'm half Czech (my dad's side). After World War II, our family was sending care packages over to the family in Czechoslovakia.
Anyway, at some point, the Czech side wrote to the American side: "In the next box, could you send some tennis balls?"
My grandfather said, "heck, if they have time to play tennis, we don't need to send them boxes of food anymore!" :)
I hope you don't mind the humor. :)
Pres. Reagan certainly had a great sense of humor.
Their carping critics reveal themselves to be but pygmies stalking these giants.
Great picture. Off to the sunset.
Try Michael's site. http://www.reagan.com
I just checked a few minutes ago, and there was no announcement, but there may be a way to reach him there.
What a real hero. This is the first President of my Life. America needs more Ronald Reagans.
This is a link to the Reagan Library, Letter to Nancy...

I am forced to wonder when the Oscars come around this year, whether they will honor this man in their tribute to those who passed in the previous year. I also wonder, if they do, if their hatred for the man will overwhelm their decency and show itself in distasteful rancor.
