ABC just announced :( Ronald Reagan was 93
In the descriptions of President Reagan's character...principled, faith-based, determined to do the right thing, no matter the prevailing winds of thought, unafraid of press, etc....we find also in President Bush.
tears.. tears... tears... Flag now at half staff.
Falwell's statements were good.
He was a wonderful staatesman but I am glad he was a Christian & now in the love of God's peace.
Thank you for your life, service & impact, President Reagan.
Somehow, I don't think they ever do - their stalwart courage, honor and sense of duty live forever.
Your meaning to this nation will not and can not be forgotten. America needed you. And you delivered.
So, no sadness from me. Just a tremendous sense of pride reflecting on how well you served this great land of ours and the legacy that you left us. Now we must go on in keeping that legacy, celebrating that legacy, and most of all, perpetuating and building on that legacy.
We won't let you down.
Therefore, chins up! lovers of America. He will not just be a body interred shortly. No, this man is a seed. Heads up. Let's cultivate this wonderful garden that this seed of a man will produce.
Great image of a REAL revolutionary.
Thanks for posting - bookmarked
God rest his soul.
As someone who lost his mother to Alzheimer's Disease 8 years ago- I sympathize with his family- especially Nancy- at this time.
God Bless President Reagan, and THANK YOU to the greatest president in my lifetime...so many owe him so much...
I wish I lived near D.C. to pay close-up respects.. even though this was known to coming, this is still tough, I'm sure, for all who love him...
God rest his beautiful soul.
I just heard that MArgaret Thatcher is in no condition to fly to the funeral, so unfortunately, she will not be able to attend......and she has been preparing for this moment for a long time.
How sad that she can't attend......
I just got back, too--visiting a friend in the hospital, no TV on.
And I am so very glad that we were part of the Reagan Revolution, and that my daughter could be there as well.
My prayers for Nancy and the family.
Mine too. We need more men of his ilk.
"I expect Kerry's statement will take a swipe at him. Even money says he will."
That would be unbelievable. I don't want to give him advice but if he does, that would really make him look bad.
Of course, he has problems controlling himself so hopefully he won't listen to me. :)
My first election was 1980. Rest in peace.
Were I President Bush, I would go on with the ceremony tomorrow, except I would tear up my speech, and read Reagan's from 1984..
America weeps again today.
He was a great President, leader and eternal optimist...a shining light of hope and promise.
He and Nancy had a wonderful live..a real love story that was wonderful to see and what an example for all us married folks out here!
President Reagan will be...not will be is missed now and will be for a long long time to come.
Sincerest Sympathy to all the Reagan Family.
"NOW HE BELONGS TO THE AGES"
God bless, Mr. President
Thank You Thank You Thank You
I'll miss knowing your there Mr President.
