This is about 2 weeks old, but I could not find it posted.
"I wasn't sure what I was going to do," he said. "After I hit the bear in the head with a wooden spoon, the bear started coming after me!"
HA! Even funnier, I have never been to this site before...look at the offerings below the article.

"After I hit the bear about fifteen times, the bear fell to the floor, but I dared not let up. I hit him for about another five minutes until he was not moving at all," Ryan says. Wise choice. It works for terrorists too.

This free PR service is about as reliable as the Weekly World News.

"This young man should be prosecuted, not praised. The bear was simply following his natural instincts, and had this Ryan criminal I thought self-defense is a natural instinct, too?

I suppose the opposite scenario would have been more acceptable to these imbeciles. It is quite a humorous story though.
To: Rebelbase
Ahh, sounds like B.S. to me. Anyone born and raised in the area described would never hit a feeding bear (especially a Kodiak!) with a wooden spoon. Nor would they start whacking it with a frying pan. They'd walk out the back door and wait until the bear was done eating. And I'm pretty dubious that you could stun a bear as large as described with a frying pan, anyway. I'm not saying this all is impossible, but it sounds pretty dubious.

If this is really true he should never have called the police but just filled the freezer and laid down his new rug :')

Darcy Morris, president of the local chapter of Animal Rights Abuse Watch (ARAW), says, "This young man should be prosecuted, not praised. The bear was simply following his natural instincts, and had this Ryan criminal left it alone, no harm would have been done. It's disgusting, and he can expect to hear from our lawyers."I'm sure Darcy would have allowed herself to become lunch.
Just damn.

Lured the poor defenseless bear into his kitchen and beat it to death. That's not to mention his culpability in the death of the salmon.

He was next on the Bear's menu.
Do those Idoits ever relize that?.
To: Rebelbase
Dang!
If it was anything like the cast iron pan like my grandma makes cornbread in, no wonder the bear is dead!
That thing is HEAVY.
