John Kerry's foreign policy advisor Jeffery Smith on C-Span: Oh I get it. A prime element of Kerry's plans for the military as just revealed by his foreign policy advisor Jeffery Smith is to shift money within the military to pay for 40,000 additional troups. The money would come from programs like missle defense. Ahhhh. Click. Anything to keep us from defending our selves in the future.
If he can't cause the US to lose now at least he can hope to set the stage for future failure. Viva la France, n'est pas, M. Kerry?
And he'll get North Korea's personal promise that they'll never attack us. Of course, if they attack someone else, we'll have to fulfill our treaty agreements and THEN they will attack us.
What a dumbass.
How many liberals kept screaming "What about Korea?" while we debated and discussed war in Iraq? In fact they always maintained that Korea was a "bigger threat". How does that square with cutting missile defense? Japan is very very interested in missile defense (as well they should be). Likewise I would think Taiwan might be interested as would Israel. Instead of just being anti-Reagan "star wars", the liberal Kerry-dogs need to be aware that missiles come in all sizes (of course they won't realize that until a missile hits them in the face - then they'll say they knew it all along). Given the bad guys desire to purchase missiles, research in missile defense is essentual. But no, we are going to hear the same old "can't stop them all so why bother" BS from the left.
Honestly, Kerry has more positions than a Karma Sutra!
To that end, ideas such as missile defense, are clearly out of line with their agenda. After all, the only enemies the USA has are those who were irritated by our Republican leaders, right? If we were only a peaceful member of the world community, we would be be accepted as a humble partner in global oneness!
(reaching for barf bag)
In reality, nations such as Iran and North Korea are interested in partnering with the US, and they have some items they are developing for export! Namely, this, and this! In this arena, however, they are not interested in, uh, "bilateral trade". With exports like these, why waste money on a missile defense system? North Korea and Iran have even offered to pick up the cost of delivery, they want to send their exports to us via air mail!
I heard this yesterday and my jaw dropped. The same John Kerry who was warning us a couple of days ago about the dangers of nuclear terrorism wants to slash funding for missile defense...mind boggling.
