I still see Hillary on the ticket, especially if GWB's numbers are roughly where they are now. Hillary cannot allow even the remotest possibility of a Kerry win without her on the ticket. If GWB's numbers show him unbeatable, Hillary can wait until 2008 and use Kerry as the throwaway-filler for 2004.
How is 2004 her only shot?
Nope. Hillary decided early on that she didn't want to challenge Bush in this environment. Her shot will be in 2008. (She will torpedo Kerry, if necessary.)
I think we give them Dims too much credit. The Deanie Bopper episode was like something out of "The Twilight Zone".

I would admit that she would be like the Pied Piper was to those vermin in Hamlin for the Dims. What the heck, they'd follow someone with leprosy.
