I'm with budwiesest on this also. The same rule should apply to somebody who has committed a felony as it does to any other individual.
If a law, with the threat of punishment, incarceration or fines can stop the individual from possessing a firearm if they wish to have one, then former felon or not, they should be able have one.
Why not? If they are the type to ignore the law, in spite of the deterrent of punishment, incarceration or fines then the will anyway.
Those who have paid the court imposed debt to society after committing a crime should have the same rights as any other person.
