I found this story on a blog tonight. I searched to see if it was posted, but found nothing.
Presidential Race
With the race for the White House well underway, both candidates are making every effort to tell the voters who they are, what they stand for, and how they will perform if elected. I've always been one to try and find out about the person when he/she is away from the podium, how they act and what they say "off camera" speaks volumes for who they are and how they will perform.
This letter was forwarded to me, it is from an Army Captain currently stationed in Korea:
"Arlee,Attached is a picture of one of my best friends in the Army, Mike McNaughton. We were privates together in 1990-1994. He stepped on a landmine in Afghanistan Christmas 2002. President Bush came to visit the wounded in the hospital. He told Mike that when he could run a mile, that they would go on a run together. True to his word, he called Mike every month or so to see how he was doing. Well, last week they went on the run, 1 mile with the president. Not something you'll see in the news, but seeing the president taking the time to say thank you to the wounded and to give hope to one of my best friends was one of the greatest/best things I have seen in my life. It almost sounds like a corny email chain letter, but God bless him.
Love,
Justin"

A man of his word & a class act.
I just found this & it is truly amazing.
Ping! If this is true, please pass this on. God Bless our troops!
Sorry.
Real stories about a great President who says what he means and means what he says are verboten.
The very idea that the greatest President of our time would waste his time with some dude with a limp are clearly out of bounds. I mean, if he has humanity and cares about an individual how can he be the source of all evil?
Please stop interfering with the stereotype of the President as an idiot and also the Moriarty of Politics.
OK -- God Bless GWB and I would gladly take a bullet for him. He is the Lincoln of our times.
I want to see this on ABCNNBCBS too!
What a great link. Thanks for this story!
President Bush is a good man. God is with him. I don't always agree with him, but who cares, he deserves to be re-elected, if that is part of His plan for W's life. The weight he has on his shoulders and the endless personal hatred towards him must be close to unbearable.
"He is the Lincoln of our times."
We in Maryland sure hope he ain't *that*!....LOL!
Sorry, don't get it. Also, remember we are talking about GWB. And I make it a point to thank Providence for providing us, once again, the right President at the Right time. I shudder to think of what we would had dealt with had it been President Beazibub Gore.
This reminds me of the recent story about Kerry ordering the elevators locked down at a wedding reception he attended so that the guests wouldn't have to mingle with the riffraff. Residents at the building were forced to use the stairs.
In any way, shape, manner, or form that you compare Dubya to a scumbag gigolo like Kerry, one man is a giant and the other is a phony and a pretender. And a scumbag.

Better put those words in caps...
President Bush: "A Man of his Word & a Class Act"
Except in this case, his actions are not an "act".
Lincoln declared martial law in Maryland and arrested our governor in order to stop the secession vote.
He replaced our elected leaders with his own loyalists and placed Federal troops all over the state to "mind us" for the duration.
It's really not very nice to sic the military on your own people.
[yes...we still hold a grudge up in the mountains]....LOL!
I can't see W doing something that evil.
Personally, I love the guy.
If Kerry connives his way in...well...I don't even want to think about that.
This election is truly a battle of good vs. evil.
I saw McNaughton on tv when he was in the hospital and he is one handsome man. I hope Dubya can help him get a good job. MCnaughton is just a beautiful man inside and out.
It is true. It's been posted several times now and it's wonderful every time.
I had no idea this happened. Another testimony to our impartial media.
Ping!
