Heard the promo on the radio.

Sounds like Peter claims the LAPD are no better than the South-Central gang-bangers.

Moral equivalency comes to crime fighting thanks to the enemy within at ABC.

I saw some of it. They talked about the awful crime rate yet they kept bashing the cops for doing their jobs. I couldn't stomach too much of it.

If Peter wants to report on our toughest crime problem he should go to the Democrat National Committee.

If Peter Jennings goes into south central, someone will jack him, and his body'll show up in about 3 months for sale on Ebay.

The homicide rate in LA is occurring at about the rate of a middle east country at war but little attention is given to us here. Consider that in Los Angeles, gang related homicides averaged about 640 per year (almost 2 per day) in the decade of the 90s. Much of the gang deaths are related to the lawlessness of illegal immigrantion.

Jennings my provide the attention but he is too politically correct to point fingers. Today on a local LA radio station today he described the LAPD as an "occupying force" while admitting there are not enough police to keep the kids in east LA ( code phrase for illegal immigrants) safe.

LA has 1/3 the number of police compared to other big cities like New York , this in part to a liberal city council which can't find the time or the money to address the problem but can find time and money to make resolutions to be against the war or make it unlawful for police to question a criminals citizenship or to make laws against the hiring of city contractors who's 5th cousin removed twice great grandfather owned a shop 200 years ago that made sails sold to slave traders.

Furthermore the media has demonized the police here so much the public just doesn't care the police force is not being supported, ranging from Rodney King, to OJ, and the Rampart scandal, the description "occupying force" tends to stick real well.

I labored through 45 minutes of this thing. The program started out with how understaffed the police force is in LA and then promptly rolled out Rodney King, the LA riots and the Ramparts scandal. You had the typical boo hoo crowd of a civil rights attorney and a black minister bemoaning the actions of the police in trying to get a handle on the out of control violence. They had an assistant police chief in charge of South Central LA stating that race (of course) was the reason nobody in LA cared what happens in that area. Some mental giant from the area said the cops were a gang with more power. And it went on and on.... Finally I'd had enough. I don't know what got into me to watch this predictable drivel.

Hey morons... if you don't want the cops in your neighborhoods enforcing the law then I'm sure a lot of other areas will welcome the additional manpower and you can call that minister or that civil rights attorney when you need protection from the local bangers.

Someone ought to go to LAPD most wanted website and post the photos of the most wanted. It's an eye opener.

Give me one good reason to work in LA (or a lot of other places for that matter) if I were in law enforcement.
