The Fall Of Islam

The Fall Of Islam

Surely, Allah has purchased of the believers their persons and their property in return for the Garden they shall have; they fight in the cause of Allah, and they slay and are slain…- Qur’An 9:111

I know when it happened. On September 11th, 2001, fanatical followers of a religion America was just beginning to accept struck a blow they hoped would lead to our destruction. In striking that blow, they revealed their hand. And America stepped back and began to take a more sober view of the religion that sanctioned the wanton murder of thousands.

Before the PR disaster-in-the-making spun too far out of hand, our President quickly stepped forward and called Islam a “religion of peace.” To the ears of many, it sounded too much like Orwell’s ironically named “Ministry of Peace.” Or more bluntly, it was a crock and most Americans knew it.

But it was a crock we thought we should live with, because how could we blame a religion with millions of adherents for 9-11? It seemed unfair, and dangerous to America’s and the world’s safety.

Besides, the President knew that Arab Muslims had us over a barrel (literally). If we wanted to keep fueling our SUVs, it was best not to insult the man’s religion, know what I mean?

Yet nearly three years later, many brave Americans have died fighting an unnamed enemy. We pretend we are fighting “terrorists”. In reality, we are fighting what many believe is a fraudulent religion with the systematic slaughter and forced conversion of millions in its wake.

Why do so many consider the religion itself a fraud? It’s not just its bloodthirsty and contradictory teachings, or the questionable character of its founder. Look at its history, fraught with violence and intimidation. And look at its fruit today—terrorism everywhere, with barely a protest anywhere to the most barbaric actions of its practitioners.

In short, whatever moral capital Islam may have had began to evaporate on September 11th. The events since then have done nothing to buff its image, quite the contrary actually.

I believe history will record that the silver lining to September 11th was its role in beginning to unmask “the religion of peace.” The Nick Berg beheading and the resulting silence from the Muslim world may have provided the coupe de grace.

Islam will continue to grow by violent means. It will continue to appeal to the angry, the disaffected, those looking to even a score. But for all practical purposes, Islam is dead among those who are awake. And that is a very good thing.

Does that mean that well-meaning people cannot be followers of Islam? No, it doesn’t mean that. But I believe they have been by and large brainwashed into believing a lie. We owe them the truth and our support if desired.

Do we need to continue our fight against Islamic terrorism? Absolutely. But this fight must start with honest talk. Muslim terrorists are disciples of Muhammad and the religion’s “holy” books. They murder because their holy books tell them to. They behead their enemy because their holy books tell them to. They force their religion on others because their holy books tell them to.

Let’s face it, the President has already played his hand. Regarding “the religion of peace”, for better or worse it’s his story and he’s sticking to it. It is up to the people to demand honest talk and action from our leaders, and we must accurately name this enemy before we effectively fight and subdue it.

We absolutely must end our dependence on Arab Muslim oil. Material independence makes independence of thought and speech much easier to carry out!

And we must allow “the religion of peace” to die of its own self-inflicted wounds, less we are willing—out of our own moral cowardice—to let it kill us.

... the proper objective should have been not merely to drive to Baghdad but to engage and impress the imagination of the Arab and Islamic worlds on the scale of the thousand-year war that is to them, if not to us, still ongoing. Had the United States delivered a coup de main soon after September 11 and, on an appropriate scale, had the president asked Congress on the 12th for a declaration of war and all he needed to wage war, and had this country risen to the occasion as it has done so often, the war on terrorism would now be largely over.

Outstanding article. Stunning in its clarity.

The sad truth is that 3800 American lives do not trump politics.

"Islam is NOT a religion of peace. It is a religion of hate. We cannot avoid this fact anymore. We must not be distracted by those who want to be PC."

That's a fact. Everywhere islam exists there is war and turmoil. That is not a mere coincidence. Islam is an evil movement.

"You're 180 degrees off. If you read the rest of that paragraph, it says, "The only thing that matters, is who the extremists and terrorists are. That's it." Why? because those are people we're at war with. That's the enemy."

No, the enemy is the belief structure, and terrorism and murder holds sway over the entire structure or it would have ceased before it began. We are not at war with people, but of spiritual wickedness.

"It's not up to anyone to "judge" another's religion."

Beg to differ. We received the admonition to judge after the spirit. And to judge them by their fruits. And we are talking about spiritual matters.

" Those are the people videotaping murders. (They are not "sacrifices")

What else would you call it when they pray and shout the name of their god when they are cutting someone's head off? These were not murders in the sense that we understand murders. These were ritualistic sacrifices. At least Mr. Berg's was. In case you didn't notice, the final cut of Mr. Berg's head was made by a different person, who held it high in front of the camera, as if receiving the honor of the kill. The 14 seconds cut from near the end of the video video will show the first person releasing Mr. Berg's head before it was completely severed, standing up and removing the blade, stepping aside to hand the blade to the second person with the white pillow case on his head who finished the severance and held it up to his god on camera.

Sir, that is sacrifice. I would not surprise me if they tasted Mr. Berg's blood and ate his heart at well.

And that, Sir, is one of the fruits of Islam.

Well I figured you'd pick up on the "sacrifice" part.
It's really unimportant what THEY think it is. They're terrorists. They make those films to scare people, to terrorize them . That's what they're all about.Stop giving them satisfaction. We know it was murder. That's all that matters.

I'm not going to get into a Bible verse dual and whether judging others is okay or not. That's personal belief, and you're free to believe as you wish. I'll let God do the judging.

[The Democrat's] allergy to military expenditure assures that, unlike Republicans, who provided just enough to accomplish an arrogant plan if nothing went wrong, they would not provide enough to accomplish a humble plan if everything went right.

God save us from professional politicians.

Besides, the President knew that Arab Muslims had us over a barrel (literally). If we wanted to keep fueling our SUVs, it was best not to insult the man’s religion, know what I mean?

Let's debunk the myth that we need the oil for SUVs:

Less than half of a barrel of oil is converted to gas.
Government vehicles and farm equipment burn the vast majority of fuel. Hybrid vehicles will never catch on so long as the moratorium on nuke plants prevents the generation of electricity to supply them.

40 cents a gallon is direct tax
And there are indirect taxes through oxygenation requirements, regulations prohibiting the building of refineries, the banning of station wagons, etc. drive the price higher and higher. This is by design since lefties assume higher prices will discourage driving.

Oil companies are doubling their profits in the face of rising pricesThey are deliberately profiting from our pain. Remember the "Windfall Profits Act in the 70's? Big oil gave us the shaft then as well.

America needs cheap energy to remain great (which explains why the left is against cheap energy). We can:

Pressure the Arabs to get the price down,
Regulate oil companies,
Tap domestic sources,
Build more nuke plants,
Develop fuel cells.

Getting all the SUVs off the road would not solve the energy problem, not reduce our imports, not reduce pollution, or not slow world (read Chinese) demand.

Thanks, Rockitz, very good points. I do understand that the President is not always in a position to be truthful. But that doesn't mean he needed to call Islam a "religion of peace", an extremely damaging lie.

Well put rebuildus/Patrick
