Were the judges he appointed in Texas Conservative?

I have no idea. I'm just confident that they aren't the hardcore baby-killing Commies that Kerry would nominate, and that Spector et al would slobber all over themselves to confirm.

The choice this November is NOT between Liberalism and Conservatism. Bush is a Liberal. Kerry is a Liberal. Bush, however is capable of intelligently waging the war we are in. Kerry is not. Therefore Bush is the only reasonable choice for conservatives. If the system does not survive then my conservatism is not relevant to anything. Bush is also the only reasonable choice for Liberals who are capable of reason- there are a few of those- for the same reason.

I expect the nation to survive, even prevail, no matter who wins but the economy and the Constitution are in great danger of not surviving if it is left to Kerry to fight this war.

This election is all about saving the family as we have known it, let's say a prayer that the good side wins.

[ "So if you're a conservative Republican," he added, "this campaign is doing what you wanted." ]

Interesting comment here.. is everybody watching(listening).. did you get that.. This little comment says a lot. A freudian slip I would imagine. Don't even think this little faux pas will happen again. A very telling slip this. Conservatives are merely a branch of the republican party, an ideological nuance, a voteing block, a missing tooth beer drinking crotch scratching element that needs inclusion in the process.

I hear ya! Bill (Sammon). Defintely a "I'm not a divider, I'm a uniter" attitude. However it does unearth this administrations attitude and base thoughts toward us type of republicans that could easily HANG on the white house lawn most democrats as traitors (get a good nights sleep) and wake up refreshed in the morning to a new fresh future. YOU (BILL) would not of course be in that crowd.. On that event you would shed tears of recrimination.

Bill Sammon, your mouth condemns you. Evidently you don't know americas greatest enemies ARE democrats. Not political opponents BUT enemies. Bill, "IF" a republican is NOT a conservative he is a "MOLE", a RINO, a plant, a ringer, a very confused individual or BEST of all worlds, a RADICAL LIKE ME. Because Bill, I'm for a RADICAL change in america not a conservative one. You evidently are NOT for a radical change in america and ARE yourself "a ringer" and a very confused individual and really, a big PART OF THE PROBLEM...

I'm watchin you Bill, got my eye on ya.. you're outted

i have no idea what President Bush will do on immigration, but he is not likely to be able to wave a magic wand and get rid of illegals as everyone seems to think. this is the real world and pragmatism is what it takes not wishing in one hand that they be gone. and John Kerry would do what on your three key issues? immigration? you think HE is gonna send them back? Um. NO. and abortion? you think HE would put prolife judges on the bench? Um. NO> and tax cuts? are you on drugs? again, NO. we have 2 candidates running, and some losertarians, who have no prayer. i will vote for President Bush, who has the best chance of accomplishing my goals.

With the country at Full Employment, no one really wants mass deportation anytime soon. There is no room in the system for it.

Current Figures, From BLS
Both the unemployment rate, 5.6 percent, and the number of unemployed
persons, 8.2 million, were essentially unchanged in April. The unemployment
rate has been either 5.6 or 5.7 percent since last December. The unemploy-
ment rates for the major worker groups--adult men (5.0 percent), adult women
(5.0 percent), teenagers (16.9 percent), whites (4.9 percent), blacks (9.7
percent), and Hispanics or Latinos (7.2 percent)--were little changed over
the month.

Name one government program, agency, entity, that has not been corrupted to the point that it works against the reason it was created, and you put your trust in the honor of a Supreme Court that would pass CFR? The only reason you are not screaming about NAFTA is because you have not felt it's full effects yet. Mexican truckers and open borders are still being held up in the international court system.

Bush had every legal right to pass the steel tariff legislation, did I like it? No. But he had every legal right under international law to issue a temporary tariff in order to give the steel industry time to recover, yet what did this international court do? It ruled against it's own law to get America on the ropes in this case and Bush folded to international law against the constitution, sovereignty, and best interest of the USofA.

For you to claim that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land given the judicial edits passed down from the judicial bench over the past few decades is just shot in the foot before it leaves your mouth.

All I'm asking is for a smart, well educated voting public on this critical issue. Vote how you will, but realize that you have to do battle on critical issues even when the politician has an R in front of their name, instead of grazing along with your heads down.

I agree. I just finished Misunderestimated yesterday. A calm, salient treatment of President Bush's positions, and the shrill hatred of the dems.

I always assumed that Joe Six-Pack didn't care about politics. That's what the media's always told me! ;)

But seriously, I didn't say I get tired of ideology. I love ideology. At least, I love the ideology called "conservatism." I think in terms of ideology, as do most Freepers.

I'm just saying that, by basing the campaign on ideology, Bush and Rove open themselves to an attack from the other side that says, "see, they're trying to stuff their ideology down everyone's throats again." Whether that threat bites with a significant number of voters is, I'll admit, not obvious at all.

The fact is that, when push comes to shove, most Americans do believe in an ideology, which they call "freedom" or "do your own thing."

The problem is that we are nowhere near "shove" yet, and the events of 9-11 grow more distant with every new reality show to hit cable. If President Bush and Carl Rove can reverse that dynamic, they will certainly win and win big.

No, your assertion that FTAA is a backdoor to overturning the Constitution, is hardly the hyperbole of the well informed voter. In fact it runs right up to the Tacmar brand of conspiracy theory.

FTAA is an economic deal, now if you wish to argue that we should be more isolationist in our Economic policy, that might be a worthwhile argument, and in such terms might even get you a listener or three, but to go down the Black Helicopter path does nothing to advance debate, or enlighten the masses.

Name one government program, agency, entity, that has not been corrupted to the point that it works against the reason it was created

The United States Marine Corps

The IRS (you may not like them, but Revenueing is their job....lol, now had you said 'works against the people....)

Your post #13 is the kind of thing that went through my mind when I read the header. In the end, it's all about ideology.

Conspiracy theory my foot. Open your ears, it's not in the closet, it's not some hidden agenda, it's not a theory, wake the heck up. They are telling you right to your blank face what is on the horizon.

Vicente Fox came from a meeting with Bush and said, "The U.S., Mexico, and Canada will unite under the same economic umbrella with U.S. wages falling to meet Mexico's rising wages with the rest of S. America joining later. Is this a good idea to you? Or do you think Fox just pulled this statement out of his hind end with no back up for it?

As far as the damage waiting to be inflicted from the FTAA have you even read the thing, or are you just winging it off the top of your head?
