The President and First Lady went to Arlington Cemetery where the President laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
He spoke briefly on the character of America's Military, past, present and future, active-duty, deceased, retired, or reserves, and their committment to the Country.
Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld received a standing ovation that clearly touched him (no pictures I could find that showed this) and also gave a short speech on the dedication of America's Military.
When I was in WalMart last week I did my good deed and covered up Hellary's book with Dr. Phil's diet book! :-)
Im proud of ya!....Mike covered Hellary's book at Kroger's friday with Karen Hughes book....LOL
They didn't have Karen's book. Must be sold out. It's a very small section.
Storm past? We had one Sat. and I was home alone and had to get all the dogs and the cats to the basement. One dog didn't want to go . . . . both cats wanted to go outside. How are your pugs, BTW? Our dog trainer has a bunch of baby ones and they're kind of cute, in an ugly sort of way. :-)
Never forget...
LOL!
Evening PING as requested!!
Hope y'all have a blessed Memorial Day.
Good night and God bless our Military, wherever they are.

Baby pugs are the cutest, Mike took a good pic of Butch...if I only had a scanner!
Thank you very much. Wonderful Dose.
Goodnight and God Bless America
Those pics break my heart...Lest We Forget......

Some wonderful Doser allowed me to use her tagline, and I can't remember who she is. WHOEVER YOU ARE THANK YOU. I just won a place on the monthly tagline thread. (I'm embarrassed! I wish I had thought of that tagline.)
AND, Mike won a place, too for: "Our Wounded Soldiers at Walter Reed Have Yet to be Visited by John Kerry. What's he Afraid of? MJY1288, 05/20/04" Mike, you deserve to be on the tagline thread.
Any damage from your storm? Don't let a tornado suck it away, now that you've done all the improvements! That's what I was thinking Saturday--I was going to be really mad if our house blew away after I cleaned it so nicely. Then I thought about the insurance money . . . :-)
Are your dogs afraid of the storms?
Yes, Never forget.
God bless all the servicemen and women serving in the US and abroad. God Bless their families. God bless the President and his administration, and God Bless America!
Never...
Congrats Mo! You really were I today!
Each day, I know that I live in freedom because of the sacrifices of our troops so many times down through the generations, starting with the Continental Army and the state militias.
I'm very grateful to our troops today, fighting again to secure our freedoms. God bless the families of those troops who made the ultimate sacrifice.
I am so happy for Rummy! The memorial dedication was fantastic. The aerial view is breathtaking. We had our own little fly overs this morning. The jets doing their thing over several different ceremonies all ended up flying right over my house on their way back to base. It was so awe inspiring!
From California's perspective, the Democrat legislature and Democrat governor were the main reasons for our state's financial and social crises. The other factors were the dot com bust (hit Silicon Valley hard) and 9/11 and the stupidity of not building more power plants.
That all adds up to President Bush not having a thing to do with the trouble here, and the reason the state voted for our current Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who seems to be doing a pretty good job of whipping the Democrat legislature at every turn.
