A TRANSEXUAL porn actress who had a close friendship with snakebite victim Garrick Wales told yesterday of the "different world" they secretly shared before his death in America.Joanna Jet, who describes herself as a "she-male" with a taste for champagne and sexual depravity, revealed how she enjoyed a "very special friendship" with the father of three - in a world far removed from his family life in Scotland.
"I knew a completely different side to Garrick, the different lifestyle, the different likes and dislikes," she said, speaking by telephone yesterday. "How we came to meet was through similar interests, fine champagne, fine food. It was a completely different world to his family world.
"Our relationship was just between the two of us and his family didn't know anything about it until after his demise. It's not been good for Garrick's family, especially in view of my lifestyle. I don't fit the traditional nine-to-five role model."
The body of Mr Wales, 48, was found behind the wheel of a rented Chevrolet Blazer parked in a lane on the perimeter of Little Rock airport in Arkansas, on 13 May.
The previous morning he had visited the Delta Airlines cargo office to collect a box of highly venomous snakes he had ordered from a reptile dealer in Florida.
The snakes - a deadly black mamba, green mamba, forest cobra and African twig snake - were found on 14 May, dumped on a grass verge half a mile from where Mr Wales died. The whereabouts of a previous consignment sent to him in Little Rock two weeks previously is unknown.
It is now known that Mr Wales required regular blood transfusions to combat the painful and lingering effects of a bite he received from a boomslang snake while walking in South Africa several months ago.
Mr Wales's wife Pamela - a teacher in Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire, where they lived with their three children - has told police she knew nothing of him having handled snakes since then.
Jet said yesterday she also was unaware, and had never had anything to do with snakes herself, adding: "I have a mini-skirt made of python-skin, but that's as far as it goes."
Describing herself as "completely distraught" at his death, she said she had spoken to one of his brothers by telephone and agreed never to speak publicly about the intimate details of the relationship in order to spare Mr Wales's family.

Bite victim's bizarre secret

SNAKEBITE riddle Scot Garrick Wales was close friends with a 'she-male' porn star, it emerged last night.
US police probing the married businessman's death revealed his links to Joanna Jet, a male sex performer with long blonde hair and34C breasts.
Detective Eric Knowles said: 'We were told by the Wales family that this Joanna was his girlfriend. I don't mean they were necessarily any more than friends.'
Millionaire's son Garrick was found dead in a car on May 13 after collecting a box of deadly snakes from an airport in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Police are waiting to see if test results will confirm fears that hewas killed by a bite.
As Garrick's wife and three kids grieved, British-born Joanna recalled her friendship with him in an internet tribute. The porn star said: 'It was our secret, something his wife and children knew nothing about.
'There was nothing sordid or juicy about it. It was just two people who enjoyed each other's company.'
Joanna claimed he and Garrick spent time together in Paris before the Scot's fatal trip to America this month.
He said: 'We had a magical couple of days filled with nothing but smiles and happiness.
'He was, to the very last breath, a true Scotsman.'
Sources say Garrick met Joanna two years ago at a champagne promotion night in a London club. Joanna claims they shared an interest in collecting champagne, as well as a passion for reptiles.
Friends of Garrick in Scotland knew nothing of any interest he had in snakes. They cannot understand why he ordered a shipment of the creatures from a supplier in America.
Garrick collected a 6ft green mamba,a 4ft black mamba,a 5ft forest cobra and a 14in twig snake from Little Rock airport.
He was then found dead at the wheel of his hired car.
Police later discovered the snakes at the roadside half a mile away. One theory is that Garrick died as he drove to get help after being bitten.
Detective Knowles said: 'Whether he had a snake fetish, we simply don't know.
'This is definitely not a homicide there is no foul play. All other possibilities remain open.'
Joanna believes Garrick may have been killed by the ongoing effects of a snakebite he suffered last year in South Africa. He said: 'He had never fully returned to health.
'Regular blood transfusions seemed to be keeping it at bay, but each transfusion was proving less effective than the last.'
Joanna describes himself on his website as a 5ft 4in blonde with a 34C-26-34 figure.
He says he has homes in London and Los Angeles, and admits his sexual tastes 'can best be described as depraved'.
Joanna boasts: 'I will happily indulge in all kinds of sexual activity in almost any kind of scene. The hardest part is finding other performers that will sink to my level.'
Joanna has starred in films including Shemale Jet-Set and Brazen Shemales. He said: 'To get on the box cover of a top-selling video was my goal for two years. It's a validation thing.'
Garrick's wife Pamela teaches at a school in Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire. The couple's children are all pupils there.

The tale, as best told:
Wales, 48, was found dead surrounded by vomit in a hire car near Little Rock airport in Arkansas on 13 May. Four highly poisonous snakes he had earlier ordered from a supplier in Florida were found in a box about half a mile away from his car two days later.
But yesterday, police said that earlier theories that he had been bitten by one of the snakes had not been confirmed by an autopsy carried out on Mr Wales’ body.
Sergeant Terry Hastings, of Little Rock Police Department, said the examination had not found any obvious wound on Mr Wales’ body, including a snake bite.
"The autopsy report didn’t give an indication of such. It’s a suspicious death. He didn’t have any obvious trauma to the body," he said.
Sgt Hastings said officers were waiting for the results of toxicology tests carried out on Mr Wales body that would show whether there was any snake venom or other poisons in his system.
Little Rock police are investigating Mr Wales’ background in an attempt to find out why he ordered the snakes and what he planned to do with them.
They have established from the Florida dealer that he had ordered snakes on several previous trips to the US.
Sgt Hastings said: "We don’t know anyone that he was in touch with in Arkansas but we are investigating that and trying to check into his past, where he has been and what he has been involved in, but right now we know very little."
A spokesman for Inverclyde Council said that following discussions with police and the family, it was satisfied that no dangerous animals were being kept at Mr Wales home in Kilmacolm, but said its officials had not actually inspected the premises.

MYSTERY WOMAN IN SNAKEBITE DEATH LINK

POLICE have stepped up the hunt for a mystery woman linked to the bizarre snakebite death of a Scots businessman.
US detectives last night said finding Gillian Hamilton was a priority after the death of Garrick Wales, 48, from Kilmacolm in Renfrewshire.
The married dad-of-three was found in a car near a box of venomous African snakes in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Officers believe Hamilton may have been in the car shortly before his death.
Last night, Arkansas detective Eric Knowles said: 'We're eager to speak to Miss Hamilton. We are waiting for autopsy results which should shed more light on this.'
Police believe snake venom killed Mr Wales. But there do not appear to be any bite marks on his body and they are probing a theory he injected himself with the poison.
Before his death, Mr Wales took receipt of some of the world's most deadly snakes, including a black mamba.
He was a known risk-taker. After being bitten by a snake in South Africa last year, he wrote a 30-page autobiography which ended saying he'd had a 'fantastic and blessed life'.
A family friend said: 'Garrick loved helping people out but he also got a buzz from putting himself in danger.'
Cops are also probing the possibility he died elsewhere and was driven to a lane where he was found on May 13.
I believe he was creating the beautiful cabinetry for the
"LIEBERRY". Locals were upset about the outsourcing.
Oh well, take my word for it, it's one ugly looking snake.
Just wouldn't want some Islamofascists or other nuts buying some snakes to extract the poison or release the animal someplace where it could do harm.
I am really outraged that people are bringing in these deadly snakes to the US that are not normal to our areas.
Am I the only one concerned? Deadly Black Mamba's in Arkansas...what if they started breeding. This guy was sick, and possibly sympathized with terrorists and wanted to kill americans with these snakes. Who knows what sinister things are going on now.
This is probably the best story in years to be made into a movie. I would want George Clooney as the Scotsman though. I don't know who would play the transvestite or the wife (maybe Demmi Moore?).
