It's pretty audacious of Kerry to look them in the eye after selling out the POW/MIAs for a profitable treaty with North Vietnam.

Kerry may talk the talk, but Bush walks the walk. You just have to look at them to see it.

I was once imprisoned in that very stadium for demonstrating against the war in Viet Nam ('70 or '71.) A group of friends from the Univ. of Wisc. (Madistan) drove out for the doings...I would have identified myself as a liberal at that time, but for no good reason other than that was the party of sex, drugs and Rock and Roll. Having eventually gravitated to a strict-constructionist, I am now worse than a reformed smoker.

There is no avoiding the Vrooom inside the Beltway when it comes every year.
Everyone should go and see this once at least. It is unsponsored by any government entity. One of the extremely few truly "grass roots" displays that ever happen.

Usually they have Rolling Thunder on CSpan but I didn't see it today, is it going to be tomorrow? There is nothing like the sound of all those bikes and knowing that each is a vet who loves their country.

I was out walking on the Mt Vernon train along the GW Parkway today, I was seeing big groups of riders the whole time. Lots of bikes in town.

The group endorsed Bush in 2000 over Democrat Al Gore, a Vietnam veteran. This year, they chose Bush, who served stateside in the Texas Air National Guard during Vietnam, over John Kerry, a decorated veteran of the same war who is also a motorcycle enthusiast.
