Atlantic City schools to recognize Islamic holidays


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) _ Atlantic City has become the fourth school district in New Jersey to recognize Muslim holidays.

The city's board of education approved districtwide days off for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, two sacred Islamic holidays, for the upcoming school year. (snip)

I agree that Mike Savage.com would be a good place to start.

He has coined the phrase "Enemy Within" (and written a book with that name, I think).

sometimes, he seems nuts, but the simple fact is that he is making an attempt to wake up the Americans, who are asleep.

Maybe I am the one who is nuts, but are any of you getting answers when you ask what is the message in the Saudi killings yesterday?

It does seem to me, that I should know the "rest of the plan", from what has happened. Seems that I don't see the answers, but rather the questions are easy.

Of course the terrorists had the goal to kill Westerners, Christians and Americans.

Also to drive the oil workers out of Saudi Arabia and hurt the oil business.

How far up the list are the Americans, was it a simple attempt to hurt our wallet, with higher gas prices?

Was it a warning that our refineries are next?

I see that 9 had the throats cut, they attempted to escape.

Why all the cut throats and what does the fact that it is being done to the children here at home mean?

I know a lady from Indonesia and the muslims there cut off heads and leave then on fence posts.

Mey is Chinese, her family has been in Indonesia for 100 years, but the muslims came in and declared jihad on them.

Is the cutting off of heads to become the normal method of killing in America?

Granny I think it is to drive up oil prices and create Chaos. I am convinced that they are working very hard to tumble our economic system...And are having some success at it unfortunately.

While some grousing about the falling dollar is expected at the G-8 Sea Island Summit, not much will be done about it.

At stake: pricey foreign TVs vs. cheap exported chickens. Feathers may fly, but answers likely won't.

As long ago as 1999, the Russian newspaper Pravda speculated that the weak dollar might eventually lead to a global economic crash.

At the Evian summit, Germany, France, Italy and Japan were less dramatic in their judgments, but did voice concerns.

So what is the short-run solution?
