I did see it also. You got most of what he said. He was only on for one segment. He said there has been a lot of picture taking and surveillance going on across the country which indicates that they are in the planning stages of something. Also talked about the threat to western airlines, the story that was out the day before. Then again, we didn't expect Greta to pre-empt OJ for that now did we? In summary, Greta and Gertz didn't cover anything we didn't already cover on TM two days ago.

8 'al Qaeda militants' killed

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- Pakistani security forces exchanged fire with suspected al Qaeda militants in the country's tribal areas, killing eight foreign fighters, according to intelligence sources.

The shooting on Wednesday happened in South Waziristan, where Pakistani forces have asked all foreigners to register with local authorities.

Pakistan is a key ally of the United States in the war against terrorism, and its soldiers have been scouring the rugged northwest border region of Pakistan for renegade Taliban and al Qaeda members being harbored by tribes.

Actually, I did speak to pop last night. He raised just that point and had a comment to make. A blast of 150KT is going to require a LOT of 80% PURE (or more) fissionable nuclear fuel. The lead casing to shield that much is going to have to be much thicker than you can know. This is not for anybody's safety, because presumably, the Jihadists are going to command detonate it so they can get right up to enjoying fellowship with the VIRGINIANS....ummmm I MEAN virgins, who wait for them....no the lead casing is going to have to be MASSIVE to keep the device from being DETECTED by any number of already "in place" security devices as well as those devices airborne or possibility even in orbit. And it's not like they're going to be able to spirit such a weapon inside our borders and then emplace it before they can be "tagged." Anyway, pop was a little skeptical of that scenario. 150 kt. He almsot gagged on the phone! He thinks a more realistic event is the .5kt to 2kt blast. He's not even too sure about THAT. Most of the "suitcase" nukes are very old and the means to trigger them have to have decayed over time. They require maintenance.

Pop is correct about the lead needed. There is a possibility a custom leadlined fridge has been made and possibly shipped with normal fridges across the Mexico border if not just brought ashore at a little dock somewhere near it's destination(in which case they don't have to be concerned about customs and rad detection.) If they have the know-how to handle the fissionable fuel, the lead lining isn't a problem and could be installed in moldable sheets. An extra heavy fridge might not be noticed with the right logistical equipement ready to pick it up.

The first US warship to be sunk was the destroyer USS Reuben James. It was lost with 115 men on October, 31st, while protecting another british convoy.

Germany declared war on the United States on December, 11th. Much like the bombing of the cole and the embassies, Americans ignored the attacks.
