"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia - Tens of American, European and other hostages were released Sunday and a gunman believed to be the lead Islamic militant holding them was arrested, a Saudi security official said, adding that two other gunmen were "in the process of being arrested."
We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm

TARENTUM -- A local fisherman might have saved some lives Monday by alerting authorities to several pipe bombs and bomb components he found near the docks under the Tarentum Bridge.
Tarentum Police Chief Bill Vakulick said early today that authorities found four pipe bombs and "all of the components" to another explosive device stuck in the mud under 2 feet of water near the bank of the Allegheny River......
You mean back when a "code red" day meant it was hot and sticky outside and you shouldn't mow your lawn.
Or maybe a pollen alert... Would almost be laughable if it weren't so true.
Good info. Thanks.

BWAHAHAHA~!
THANK YOU all4one.
Also, Olivers is no longer Olivers, and Macy's has been replaced with a 35 story (or something like that), shopping, commercial, and residential building that has reshaped the skyline and Mamaroneck Ave. "The Westchester Mall" has replaced the "Galleria" as the shopping mall of choice. A new Federal Court House opened a few years ago replacing the dump on East Post Road, and the corner of East Post Road and Mamaroneck Ave. has become a haven for upscale Irish Pubs and other eating and drinking establishments, which has drawn people to the area after work and in the evening for the first time in years.
Thanks Revel.
Don't mean to scare you JP.
I'm a little brutal at times.
It was not my intention to do so.
Sorry.
I'm a little to brutal at times.
Hiding Explosives Among Civilians (Israel)
09:32 Jun 07, '04 / 18 Sivan 5764 (IsraelNN.com) During Operation Rainbow, it was revealed of late, IDF forces found that Arab terrorists had placed dozens of mines and similar explosives along and under Rafiach's narrow streets, in the heart of the non-combatant population.
Similarly, dozens of explosive devices and weapons were discovered among the non-combatant population thanks to air-based observation tools, thus foiling attacks on the Israeli soldiers operating in the city.
I believe all of GF is gone; the North Street office closed and so did the "Taj Mahal" in Rye Brook. I have not been to WP in years, I did know about the new mall. My Bloomingdales closed I know that. I was in that store everyday. We would not hang in WP late into the night unless we were with a large crowd the area is the pits. Are you saying it has gotten better after dark?
I'm probably closer to your age and so pick-up places are pretty much a thing of the past. Gambits is still there, but not like it was back in the mid to late 1980's, where it was the place to go on Fridays after work and into the evening. Saturday nights were great also. There was also the Sports Page and the Single Wing, and a lot of Irish Pubs in Yonkers.
OK everyone THIS concerns me especially in the wake of the foiled attack in Amman. It sounds as if the chemical genie is VERY close to exiting the bottle.

Islamic Jihad Planned Mass Casualty Attack Using Cyanide Gas
Col Hazman-Hebrew; 4 June 04:
Islamic Jihad and Hamas terrorists were planning to launch an nonconventional attack against Israel using cyanide gas, according to an indictment filed last week in the Samaria military court against Anas Hatnawi, 27, an Islamic Jihad member from Jenin.
Hatnawi sought to recruit suicide terrorists, and was particularly interested in locating chemicals, especially cyanide.
His terrorist cell received its orders from Islamic Jihad headquarters in Syria
Sounds like we could have passed each other one time or another!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I come from Yonkers we would hang out at the Rising Sun on Yonkers Avenue and watch TTQuick. I also hung out in Rockland County at a place called Manhattans in Spring Valley. I hated being single and hanging out in that kind of pick up environment but now that I look back I did have fun!
I know longer live in WP, but I do travel there several times a week. From what I understand, there is a six block area a long Mamaroneck Ave. that is safe at night.
Wow, that is great!
Yup, we could have passed eack other. OK, enough reminicing or we'll get this thread sent back to chat. :-)
As if you couldn't tell, the dust cloud space rock impact stuff. Confirmed hoax.

Caught in a comet's tale
By SAMELA HARRIS
June 7, 2004
A RETIRED Adelaide physicist has been dragged into an Internet hysteria about a comet hitting Earth by an imposter who has cast him as a doomsayer.
The drama has been unfolding around the world for a month, but has only just come to the attention of an angry Dr Grant Gartrell, a victim of identity theft and, as a result, the man credited with the end-of-the-world predictions.
"I am very displeased to be caught up in a hoax," he said.
Dr Gartrell's name has been widely published on the Internet as the originator of a prediction that comets were heading for Earth.
The 60-year-old, who now runs a blueberry farm at Mt Compass, has written a thesis on comets, but says that's where the connection ends.
Returning on Saturday from a caving conference in Tasmania, he found his telephone message bank and his e-mail crammed with messages from overseas including one from a US journalist keen to break the comet story.
The person posing as Dr Gartrell first posted messages on Internet sites from "Aussie Bloke". He then identified himself as Dr Gartrell.
According to the hoaxer, the world does not have long to go and, tomorrow ,"the first dust cloud reaches earth", with a "darkening of skies".
The first comet impact is supposedly scheduled for June 18-20, with second and third impacts a few days later. "I have no idea who is posing as me and making predictions of imminent cataclysmic cometary impacts," Dr Gartrell said.
"I am one of the authors of an article on meteors which appeared in the Australian Journal of Physics in 1975 but, although still interested in it, I have not actively worked in that field much since that time."
Hundreds of Internet pages have been devoted to claims that comets are approaching Earth. Some tell people to go to a remote place with supplies and wait for the end.
"There is more chance of winning the lottery than of a comet striking earth," Dr Gartrell said.
"There is always a finite possibility of the impact of space debris and I am certainly in favour of the work being done on early-warning systems, but I have no knowledge whatsoever of any ... imminent threat. I have never met any of the people who are making such claims on the Internet and, for my own part, I am planning travel arrangements for conferences I expect to attend in several years time."
