"If you think oil prices are high at $40 a barrel then wait till they are four times that much."

Then watch what happens when OPEC suddenly decides to change the currency it demands in payment from the U.S. Dollar to the Euro.

Keep us post tomorrow is the big day. Just a little history.

So Venus eclipsing the Sun seems to say that a shadow is being cast over the Christian world by the Islamic world. Enough said – that is obviously what is taking place just now. Looking back in history for confirmation we see that during the last occasion of the transits from 1874-1882 there was a crisis in the Ottoman Empire, a massacre of 15,000 Christians in Bosnia Herzegovina and Bulgaria, the Russo-Turkish war and major internal re-organisation in the Ottoman Empire with the first Ottoman Constitution.

I think this site is going to follow. If you have more info or better site that someone will explain to me post it PLEASE. I much prefer to be with friends:):):):):)

"we will seize the fields before allowing a worldwide depression to occur."

Depends on who is in charge, here. Also it will be a risky gamble if OPEC is in collusion at the time with nuclear capable nations who are both paranoid and have itchy trigger fingers. Russia comes to mind, but there are others with a big enough stake in mid-east oil.

I also wouldn't put it past a savvy President who might have the cojones to use the crisis to force Congress into mandating oil exploration both offshore and in Alaska.

I hope not! I am not going to worry until I see a loaf of bread exchanged for a barrel of oil. We can live without oil and there is plenty of it. I don't know why we play these games.

denarius = a days work

[6] and I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not harm oil and wine!"

the other oil producing countries don't want an economic depression either - what are they going to do with their oil, drink it? an oil price rise to $80 a barrel won't last long - the economic slowdown will cut demand dramatically.

gasoline with 15% ethanol - 10% is the norm in most places. the biomass stuff can be burned by diesel engines.

"do not harm oil and wine!"

Somehow, given the context of your quote, I think the oil that is being referred to is cooking or olive oil! Ya think?

Didn't American and Delta show changes in their stock patterns similar to pre 911- right around Christmas?

Sounds familiar but I'm not positive. I tried to find out via goggle but no luck.

This might suggest that they have insiders working at both airlines- in some fashion.

Oh I wouldn't be surprised at all if that were the case. It also wouldn't surprise me if they tried using Delta next time, it they do an airliner hit again. Delta is one of the "big" American airlines they haven't hit yet.

I heard on NJ101.5 this morning that most newer cars are built to run off of this. And it is cheaper.

How do we get this here?

"an oil price rise to $80 a barrel won't last long..."

Okay, ~tinfoil hat starting to glow, propeller on top spinning madly~ the price spike need only last long enough or the switch in currency, long enough, until our economy is wrecked, our citizens standing in soup lines and begging for UN assistance. This would be more possible if there is further collusion (yup, I'm a conspiracy theorist especially concerning CFR and The Fed) with the Fed and other world banks and IMF.

Although, given current events and potential terror operations, it's possible that this scenario may be OBE (Overcome By Events) and that's even scarier.

the 15% stuff? you don't. ethanol is not the long term answer anyway, it takes too much energy to produce it.

you can get into the biomass stuff. but a Volkswagen TDI car like a Jetta, do a google search on biomass and find a supplier.
