"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia - Tens of American, European and other hostages were released Sunday and a gunman believed to be the lead Islamic militant holding them was arrested, a Saudi security official said, adding that two other gunmen were "in the process of being arrested."
We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm
Several years ago, I think late 90's my Father went to a Navy reunion. This reunion was held on a ship (an extremely awsome ship according to my Father). We'll I was looking at the photos and suddenly it was like I was there. I said to a sailor let me take your picture before you go the last battle. It was weird. At the time there would not have been a reason for me to be seeing anyone off. However, since then I have cousin in an elite navy group (I love to remind him how I used to change his diaper), and sons of two of my best freinds also in elite groups. I will keep the groups nameless along with the ship. However, if this vision actually occurs I will let all know that it happened but will not name the ship.
Thank you for doing the "Right" thing.
That's Okay we all have to get it out sometimes. But the heads rolling really does scare the Bajeebees (sp?) out of me. I guess in the 21st century the phrase "keep your head" has a new meaning or actually an old one.
GOOD JOB.
Thanks!
You're right.
My college roommate married a guy in the Navy, and he was based at the Charleston SC Naval Base. At one point after she got married, we were talking on the phone. There was a hurricane warning out for Charleston, and she was on her way inland. I asked about her husband, who was on a sub tender. She said they had sailed that morning.
I thought she was insane until my dad (who was in the US Navy during WW2) assured me that the ship was much safer at sea. In port, they would almost assuredly take a pounding in the relatively shallow water, and with the docks and other ships nearby.
He reminded me that the boats were designed to handle storms, and were not rowboats that capsize easily.
Not only that but a hurricane could scuttle other ships in the lanes, and the Naval ships might not be able to get out of port in an emergency.
Remember also that the ships are much more vulnerable to terror attack in port than in open sea for a bunch of reasons, not the least of which is just general congestion. In a close port, you're going to come into close proximity to other boats, some of which may have less than good intentions. At open sea, there's plenty of room to move around. Granny's right - Cole was attacked while attempting to dock.
MY OPINION:
Overdue house cleaning?
Something about this doesn't make any sense. Can you have a flea infestation where there are not/have not been any animals present? (I doubt seriously that City Hall also houses the animal shelter.)
Which leads to the thought of a possible rat infestation in that building. If that's the case, the spread of other diseases comes to mind. As Granny said, the plague was spread by rats.
I'm off to google what else the little buggers can spread.
Ruth, I can think of two valid, but simple reasons, our ships are at sea:
1. our protection
2. their protection
3. dodging asteroids
Okay, that's three.....I'm blonde and can't count. :)
Setting placemark and heading out for the weekend.
Prayers of safety out to all my TM FRiends (as well as Americans everywhere).
Have a great weekend everyone. See you Monday.
I read on drudge yesterday the Asst. Director (if I remember correctly) quit too.
URL?
Thank you SO VERY MUCH!
Can you hear me laughing.
I would love to read the report.
"Cost in the thousands, to wash fleas off people."
That report must become part of the history of the fight on
terrorism.
Come on, where all all the writers?
Rants are allowed......and welcome.
I feel the same way and you expressed it perfectly.
Perhaps our age is showing about the bare skin on these young girls. So be it.
My 22 year old granddaughter dresses like Brittany.
My 19 year old granddaughter dresses more like Madonna (the original one)
And they are sisters. I cannot believe the difference between the two of them. They are both beautiful, brilliant young ladies....but are polar opposites. I love them dearly, but feel they should mingle their eccentricites a bit. One needs to loosen up a bit, the other needs to tone it down a bit.
But...........they are both voting Republicans. Guess I brain-washed them a bit.
Let us pray that you never take a picture connected with a last battle.
God does at time give us information, it helps one to deal with life.
Thanks to your cousin for serving and prayers for his safety.
"Perhaps our age is showing about the bare skin on these young girls. So be it."
It's not an age thing.
Modesty becomes a lady.
One can decide if one prefers to
look and act like a lady or to
look and act like a #*#*.
Very interesting. You never know what number patterns these guys will play on. Of course this means that 7-7-2005 sould be a good day?
You're not going to ignore the rest of my questions are you? ; >)
