"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia - Tens of American, European and other hostages were released Sunday and a gunman believed to be the lead Islamic militant holding them was arrested, a Saudi security official said, adding that two other gunmen were "in the process of being arrested."
We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm
No I didn't know that and the only person I have ever heard say that is my Dad. How about that! :):):):):):)
Granny suggested cloves; I wanted to try it but I am afraid because I never liked the smell of cloves (unless they were pinned into oranges as Christmas tree ornaments which I made when I was "little.") ...I bet the cloves would work though.
True. Yet we can fight back better, more visibly. Heck, we now have a few newspapers and FOXNews to help! Also, people like myself were too young or not born yet to add their voices of support back then. Now, I can for Nam and for the terror war.
A cotton ball or Q-tip soaked in oil of clove is one of the best "toothache" remedies around. It truly does relieve the pain. But be forewarned, it is strong.
(Can't sleep. The new puppy has decided to keep me awake tonite :)

Cloves are what used to be in the toothache medicine sold at
the store.
I happened to have the cloves and tried them whole, it isn't
bad at all.
Of course, you could stick them in an orange, if it will make you feel better (mentally).....
LOL you kids.......
BTTT
Goodnight all.
Granny: You mean to tell me you were not a Brownie or Girl Scout, and so you were deprived of the opportunity to craft orange and clove tree ornaments? I thought the orange and clove thing was a rite of passage! (I would tell you that you didn't miss much, but I know you already know that!). P.S. I hope your little ones are doing well. You have 2 kittens now?
liberallyconservative: Enjoy your pup! I am going to kiss all my kitties goodnight now (they have all been sleeping for hours already and I don't want to wake them, but I can't resist).
JustPiper: Hello JP, I tried to stay awake until you logged on tonight, but I failed again! Does our 7-11 Mati Hari have any more information to report?
No to Girl Scouts, I was picking cotton and fruit at that age, but did get to go through it with my own kids.
yes, 2 kitties, matrix and one still sick one.
Good Night, sleep well.

Something is amiss... look at this...
Let's go through a list of which countries are putting navies to sea for the month of June. Take the U.S. naval group's departure from San Diego. What's the official story of the 6,000+ sailors leaving Monday?
(Norfolk) a local television station in Norfolk reports that a total of seven carrier strike groups are putting to sea in June - which if I'm not mistaken is an unprecedented move: "While the Navy won't say where the seven carrier groups are going, the carriers not already deployed are expected to be gone for only one to two months." Story (RealPlayer needed) at http://www.wavy.com/Global/story.asp?S=1902088&nav=23iiNU2h (England) The British are also putting an unusual number of ships to sea during June. http://www.navynews.co.uk/articles/2004/0405/0004052601.asp Meantime, Channel 13 in Hampton Roads, VA reports in part that:
"Called "Exercise Blinding Storm" by the United States and "Exercise Rapid Alliance" by the U.K., the training will involve about 30,000 troops from seven nations in exercises off and on the coast of North Carolina. Dutch marines and French soldiers will take part, as well as a Peruvian submarine and contingents from Germany and Canada. The flotilla is expected to set sail Tuesday, with the two-week amphibious exercise scheduled to begin June 10. The British landing platform dock ship Albion has already arrived. It carried four Challenger II battle tanks the British equivalent of the U.S. M1-A1 Abrams tank. The tanks will be sent ashore aboard the ship's new landing craft during the exercise. The biggest British ship the aircraft carrier Invincible also has docked with a crew of 1,050. " http://www.wvec.com/sharedcontent/APStories/stories/D82SAKN80.html

Black Winds Of Death
(1)"In Islam, the huayra yana is the black wind. In a symbolic sense, a black wind spreads similar to the act of throwing ashes into the air. The dust particles appear momentarily suspended then carried along by an invisible stream before dissipating and falling to the ground. In Islamic eschatology, hell is pictured as a desert, scorching wind, black smoke, and boiling, bubbling water. Hell is reserved for the enemies of Allah led by the Christian counterpart of the devil known as Eblis, who roams the Earth seeking those whom he may devour. Hell awaits the unbelievers where they will be cast into "scorching wind and shadow of black smoke," and will drink of boiling water for eternity. Hell is the most terrible of places where the wicked are cast in scorching fires to eat thorns and thistles.
To Islamic extremists, terrorism may have a greater purpose, even more so than causing fear and panic among people. Terrorism is purification (the cleansing) of people (the cursed; especially non-Muslim) by fire either causing repentance and submission to Islam or coming judgment through death. The cursed are the people of the "left hand," "And (as to) the companions of the left hand (mash'ama); how wretched are the companions of the left hand!" This form of punishment is also pictured in the Qur'an [39.60 and 56] - "And on the day of resurrection you shall see those who lied against Allah; their faces shall be blackened. Is there not in hell an abode for the proud?"

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The EU's top counter-terrorism official said Wednesday all countries in Europe faced a serious threat of attack, regardless of whether they supported the Iraq war or not.
"The threat is real and it is serious," said Gijs de Vries, appointed the European Union's counter-terrorism coordinator after suspected al Qaeda-linked militants killed 191 people in bombings on packed passenger trains in Madrid on March 11.
"We cannot exclude that there will be at some point in time another major attack in Europe," de Vries told Reuters in an interview.

This news just stuns me. I'm hoping it's a gag. Can we dig up more links on the topic? This is the first time I have heard of this. Didn't you think the aussie sounded awfully paranoid? What kind of a person wants to issue a warning and date of our death, and then play games with us such as "guess who I am?" "how stupid are you"? when we only have a few weeks till we meet death? He lost credibility points there. The naval stats though support some of the things he is saying. I think we need to dig for more info. Also, we better start mapping for some caves.... :(

Hunt in Pentagon in Iran leak
As FBI seeks alleged source, Chalabi says he's being framed
By DAVID JOHNSTON AND JAMES RISEN
THE NEW YORK TIMES
WASHINGTON -- Federal investigators have begun administering polygraph examinations to civilian employees at the Pentagon in an effort to determine who may have disclosed highly classified intelligence to Ahmad Chalabi, the controversial Iraqi who authorities suspect turned the information over to Iran, government officials said yesterday.
The polygraph examinations, which are being conducted by the FBI, are focused initially on a small number of Pentagon employees who had access to the information that was compromised.
U.S. intelligence officials have said that Chalabi informed Iran that the United States had broken the secret communications codes used by Iranian intelligence to transmit sensitive messages to posts around the world.
Chalabi has denied the charge. Yesterday, his lawyers made public a letter they said they had sent to Attorney General John Ashcroft and FBI Director Robert Mueller repeating Chalabi's denials and demanding that the Justice Department investigate the disclosure of the allegations against Chalabi.
The lawyers, John Markham and Collette Goodman, said in the letter, "The charges made against Dr. Chalabi -- both the general and the specific ones -- are false."
Officials would not identify who has taken polygraph examinations or even who has been interviewed by FBI counterespionage agents. It could not be determined whether anyone has declined to submit to a polygraph.
No one has been charged with any wrongdoing or identified as a suspect, but officials familiar with the investigation said that they are working through a list of individuals and will likely interview senior Pentagon officials.
The FBI is looking at officials who knew of the code-breaking operation and also had dealings with Chalabi either in Washington or Baghdad, according to the government officials. Information about code-breaking work is considered among the most sensitive material in the government and is handled under tight security and with very limited access.
