The Silent Majority is finally speaking out. The party of homosexual baby killing perverts is about to be handed a severe defeat. If Biden is booed in his home state, it is all over.

He got booed because Americans aren't half as dumb as the press think they are and most people know and understand full well the Saddam and AQ had a decade's old relationship.

I hope Hairplug Joe felt properly humiliated. It's been a bad year for liberal commencement speakers.

What a stupid thing for Biden to say. I guess he only reads the NY Slimes.

I'm more impressed that he got booed on a college campus than the fact that it was in his home state. Someone will get fired at that school for failing to properly indoctrinate this year's crop of lefties...

Why would he say such a thing? I don't recall Neil Kinnock ever making that claim.

I think we have a 30-30-30 nation. 30% would vote for clinton after he raped a woman on prime-time TV, and they would vote for Kerry if he said he supports partial birth abortion, loves al Qaeda, and plans to marry Chirac in a quiet gay ceremony at his inauguration. 30% will vote conservative and will support Bush. 30% are confused and angry at both sides. And maybe another 10% are brain dead.
The 30% conservatives are extremely angry at the media whores. The 30% knee-jerk liberals are extremely angry at Bush. Let's just hope the other 30% who are confused vote for Bush and not kerry or hillary when the time comes. Anything can still happen. We have to continue the fight down to the wire.

Anyone rude enough to drop politics - conservative or liberal - into a commencement address deserves to be booed.
To: zook
Seems negative campaigning as part of commencement addresses isn't going down too well this year... There have been a number of similar stories.

That's the 3rd Commencement speaker in recent weeks to get booed. Another was at Hofstra U (IIRC).
I'm listening to the Libertarian Party Presidential debates on CSPAN. Those guys are more OTL (out to lunch) then even John Kerry. All 3 seem to be isolationists. I don't really know that much about the Libertarian Party, but these guys seem about as out of touch with reality as Kerry is.
Several months ago, I read the Constitution Party's platforms. They, too, seem to be isolationists.
It would be nice if we could close our borders and safely isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. But World War I brought us out of that. Today, we cannot be isolated; otherwise, we'd be speaking German or Russian or (if the WoT isn't successful) Arabic. We have to stay strong for ourselves and for those, like the French, who are too blind to see their own future predicaments.

I suspect it was the "false" claim of a connection between Alqueda and Iraq that was booed- not Joey.
Most people don't know.

Interesting.
Last week some Bush bashing liberal wackado author was booed off the stage at Hofstra University.
To: zook
There are several FR threads, but here is a news link:
Author booed for Bush criticismGulf Daily News, Bahrain - May 26, 2004NEW YORK: Author EL Doctorow, who penned Ragtime and City of God, was stunned when his commencement address at a Hofstra University was booed by some students ...
There was another boo-ing this past week (of a prominent lib/dem) for anti-Bush remarks, but I can't recall who it was or where.
