Truely ... that's what 2 km visible resolution from the bird can give you ...
You notice you can select your file resolution (higher res - slower file xfer), select county borders, animate a select number of frames, zoom in by clicking on the main image ...

This should be my big chance but it will probably fizzle. I don't want anyone to suffer loss but I've never seen a tornado and I've lived in Iowa all my life. I've seen plenty effects of them but never seen a twister. I only want to see it in the air.,
I've installed the update and it's WORKING!!! He added the option to pick servers. The 2nd is the ftp servers and they are working perfectly!

Remember the adage - "Be careful of what you wish for - you just might get it"?
That's the philosophy I take now; I've seen enough videos at Skywarn schools and seen enough footage from other sources - as well as had a few close calls during spotter call-outs (nights are worse!) - that I no longer have the desire to see one ...
...A TORNADO WARNING CONTINUES UNTIL 600 PM CDT FOR EASTERN LINCOLN AND WESTERN CUSTER COUNTIES...
AT 534 PM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS HAVE REPORTED NUMEROUS SIGHTINGS OF TORNADOES WESTERN CUSTER COUNTY.
LOL~ really! that is funny...an internet storm chaser. :) I'm impressed, and it's definitely SAFER!
Until last year, I was fascinated by storms, tornadoes and lightening especially. I grew up in the country/hills so I had some spectacular light shows as a kid. Even saw a tornado during elementary school. It was really high up in the sky.
If I had to do it all over again, I would have love to have been a meteorologist..
Now..I would LOVE to chase storms on the road!!
well a real storm chaser too..seen about 15 tornaodes..don't chase much any more..no time
My closest encounter with a tornado was about 3 yrs ago. I drove on a highway to get south of an approaching TVS. It was raining like mad and I was driving like mad to get south of it before it reached me. It's a scary feeling in your stomach when you feel like you might die. I had a better chance of getting killed driving that fast in the rain than from the tornado. I will NEVER do that again. If I try to intercept one again, I will approach it SLOWLY form the south.
