There was a contest on the ship to build a boat from what we could find to be judged on origionality, design, appearance, and how much cargo it could carry without capsizing or sinking.

Bush Democrat and her husband Mike rounded up the materials, some that they aquired at the Home Depot in St Thomas.

Needless to say, Freepers are the best and we not only won handily but set a new record for cargo capacity with 36 cans of Coke when they stopped the loading and declared us the winners. It could have held at least another 2 cases!

SERIOUSLY Dale, I could have gone all day without seeing myself from that view!!! Yes, the food on board was great, but the diet starts tonight!!

We had real engineers and wannabe engineers who slaved over the construction of our winning ship. Empty water bottles and scores of wine corks from the bars provided the buoyancy that made THE USS FREEDAM invincible.

HERO, one of our freedom bears perched at the helm and our ship sailed the good ole Red, White and Blue as well as a black and white pirate flag to scare off the competition.

After the FREEDAM won, our crew let out whoops 'n hollers and there was high-fives all around. The joy of victory.......

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Bush_Democrat for the idea and supervision for our winning entry as well as all the freeper able-bodied seapeeples who helped with construction.

Thanks heaven for the duct tape brought along...oh, yah....don't ever leave home without it.
