May 28 - What was the subliminal message of John Ashcroft’s stepped-up terror warning earlier this week? It’s that if the terrorists want to disrupt the presidential election, that must mean they’re for Democratic candidate John Kerry.

Think Madrid. The terrorist train bombings there in March were credited with ousting Spain’s pro-Bush conservative government and propelling the Socialists to power. But Kerry has done a good job in recent days of countering the notion that if he is elected president, America will go soft on terrorism.

"What was the subliminal message of John Ashcroft’s stepped-up terror warning earlier this week?"

What the hell is this woman huffing?

Facts, lady, not your insinuations. This is tiresome to the point of not even reading the garbage.

I don't follow this leap of logic by Eleanor. Then again, I don't follow any of Eleanor Clift's logic!

Two weeks ago Monday on the Imus show this dingbat said, (quoting as best as I can recall) "We wouldn't be in this mess (Iraq) if Reagan had acted after the '83 bombing in Beirut."

"Not go soft on terrorism" = Capitulate to the UN.

I gotta get me one of those F'n Kerry dictionaries.

Well no, because had we done mounted a full scale invasion to get rid of the Lebanese terrorists and their masters in Syria - who just happened to be Soviet allies - we would have started WWIII.

It is amazing that Leftists have no memory of the Cold War. These same geniuses seem to think Baathist Iraq - a close Soviet ally - was an ally of ours.

Elanor is such a ditz, she is so easy to read.
Sometimes they have her on for commentary on my am
radio station, every time she lies her voice quivers and
breaks, and it quivers and breaks a LOT.

Well, if Ashcroft was thinking that, after the Madrid election, terrorists might be tempted to try to elect Kerry, he wasn't far from wrong.

There's nothing subliminal about it. Even Eleanor Clift gets it, although she tries to turn it into some sort of right-wing propaganda exercise.

The veriest nitwit can see that the left and the Islamicists are allies in this war.

I don't see any problem with her reasoning - the terrorists do want Kerry to win. I don't believe that Ashcroft was trying to insinuate it, but what the hey; it's true...

"she just forgot"

She just forgot to smile ever since Bush got elected.
She just forgot to tell the truth about Bill Clinton.
She just forgot to tell the truth about Hillary.
She just forgot to keep her stupid comments to herself.
