ARLINGTON, VA - Bush-Cheney '04 announced today the endorsement of President George W. Bush by Rolling Thunder, Inc. National, an organization which supports veterans and advocates veterans issues. In a letter addressed to President Bush, Rolling Thunder President Artie Muller said the group reached its decision, by overwhelming majority, at a business meeting in March.
"We are grateful for the President's leadership in honoring our nation's commitment to veterans. We appreciate his leadership in the War on Terror and in protecting our homeland against those who threaten our freedoms and way of life. We will put our manpower and resources to work to ensure four more years of our Commander-in-Chief," said Muller.
Leaders of Rolling Thunder will visit with President Bush at the White House on Sunday. The meeting is part of the organization's events surrounding its traditional annual "Ride for Freedom" to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. The group also endorsed the President in 2000.
"This is our way of thanking this President for his commitment to increasing access to housing and health care services for all veterans, reducing the disability claims backlog and overseeing the largest expansion of our national cemetery system since the Civil War," added Muller.
Accepting the endorsement, Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Chairman Gov. Marc Racicot said, "We are honored that such an influential organization dedicated to advancing veterans issues has recognized the President's leadership in improving the lives of our nation's veterans."
Rolling Thunder is an organization dedicated to creating awareness of POW/MIA issues, promoting legislation to increase veterans' benefits, and volunteering time, food, and clothing to veterans and local communities. Rolling Thunder has 70 chapters and over 7,000 members throughout the United States and abroad.

SWEET
First Captain Winters, now these men?
Life can be SO sweet.
"The group endorsed me before they didn't endorse me."
maybe Kerry can now return the big boy Harley he bought and go back to his French scooter. It was way too hairy for him.
This is big. Rolling Thunder is quite active where I'm at.
Does this mean C-SPAN has to cancel their annual coverage of their DC rally?
Very cool!!!
Check out Charlie Daniels....Cranking out IN AMERICA
Kerry's probably saying to himself: "Wah! But I ride a motorcycle too!
According to the C-SPAN site, around 1:00 on Sunday, President Bush is supposed to meet with Rolling Thunder!
Rolling Thunder RULES!!!!
"And the thunder rolls.........the thunder rolls."
This kinda knocks the crap out of Kerrys theory that Veterans support him. I am sure these fellows know about Kerry and his heading a committee to find POW/MIA's and coming home with nothing but a fat business deal for his cousin.
...
But those present soon realized that this service was different. For on this day the quiet streets of Owingsville are suddenly filled with the awesome sound of thunder. A sound which overwhelms all else. The sound is coming from a group of over a hundred motorcycles, ROLLING THUNDER. Each of these motorcycles is proudly displaying an American Flag and POW MIA Flag. The license plates on these motorcycles reveal they are from several different states and almost all counties in Kentucky. Each of these motorcycles is ridden by a man or woman with a combined look of respect, reflection, pride, honor and loss on their faces, mixed with the tears flowing from their eyes.
These dedicated men and women of Rolling Thunder, and other groups, many of whom rode hundreds of miles to be there, are there on a shared mission. The most noble of missions, to bring a brother home. A brother who died doing a job he believed in, in a place called Vietnam, almost 32 years ago. The group all shares the same thought, Never Forget. It makes no difference that none of them had ever met him.
On May 6, 1970, SSG. Larry Gene Kier was killed in action, in Vietnam. His body was not recovered. He was listed as Missing In Action for over 30 years, until a search team finally located his remains. A search team that was there because of groups like Rolling Thunder, ...

We're gonna be there Sunday to support all those "war criminals", as Kerry called them, and I swear, if "Lurch" shows up he's gonna lose his hearing from all the "BOOOOOOOOs"......>:-[
