Well, well...looks like I have a few names to add to my boycott list.
I just wanted to bring attention to a new CD I noticed in my local music store entitled "Rock Against Bush, Vol. 1".
According to this site, "Money from sales of the album will go into print and television ads encouraging young people to vote Bush out of the White House. Fat Mike told MTV.com he hopes to have "one or two famous punk rockers" appear in the ads."
...and while I was posting this, I came across a follow-up CD to be released: Rock Against Bush Vol. 2!!
Well, it won't be Gene Simmons or Joey Ramone.
Wow. It's like they have a tattoo on their forehead saying "Experiencing mental difficulties, please call back later."
No one here for me to boycott. I don't listen to any of them anyway!
Or Melissa Etheridge. Or the Indigo Girls. Or...oops, never mind.
I never trust anyone who defines themself by what they're against. I hear a lot of leftists hating Bush, but I don't see many loving Kerry.
I haven't heard of the majority of these bands. What makes me think that bodes the same for the rest of the population.
Bummer. Bad Religion, The Offspring, and Social Distortion. Oh well, can't afford to buy CD's anyway.
Hmmm, I wonder if enough bands could be gotten together to make a pro Bush CD?

Probably not punk bands...but certainly alot of Christian and Country bands. Would that count?
A list of music that I won't buy.
I'm sure I'd be saddened if any of that music was any good :P
Wow...a real 'who's who' of popular music.
LOL! Jello Biafra's still around?
His "California Uber Alles" was genius; but that was 24 years ago.
P.S. GREAT name ya got there :)
Looks like it is nothing but punk music. Music for Che Guevara worshipping knuckledraggers.
Hmm. Yeah, mostly punk(ish). Sum 41 is just plain bad (they had an overplayed song on the radio last year that I just couldn't stand). I'm sad to see The Offspring on there only because they've done some pretty neat offbeat stuff in the past, like "Pretty Fly For A White Guy" and "Self-Esteem."
Jello Biafra...man, talk about ancient history, LOL.
The Ataris did a cover of Don Henley's "The Boys of Summer" that was OK. Commercial formulaic crap, but OK to play while rolling down the windows and driving 30 mph over the speed limit.
And does anybody else think that song #26 on that list is pretty appropriate for DemoRATic Underground? :)

I can picture all these sublime group names materializing in a cloud of crack laced reefer smoke. Fruits of a Clintinista breed.
Yeah, but the least we can do to thank them is post thousands of copies of their music on the 'Net.
or ted nugent or canadian band Rush
