One of my co-workers's sons is serving on the George Washington. He's 34. Been in the Navy since he was fresh out of high school. God Bless him and all our service men and women. I'll have to pass on a copy of that e-mail to her.

Good going, guys. I have a friend with the George Washington Strike Group, on the Vella Gulf. I hadn't heard about the sand storms. It's nice to get any news I can from there 'bouts.

cgk, thanks for posting this great letter, and for supporting our Sailors.
A 20 year Veteran, nuclear qualified electrician who married his childhood sweetheart, dreams of running the family farm, and volunteered to spend time away from his full life, to help us out in Iraq...those who say there are no role models in America need to turn off the TV and move away from the big cities, lol. God bless Tim!
Tonkin, thank you so much for pinging me to military news. Sure is nice to be in the passenger seat, cheering on the troops, and Veterans. Special hello to IT2 JC, and for Zak.!
Thanks, also, cgk, for giving me an excuse to post this awesome pic: (^:

I have been in the Arabian Sea back in 80 and 81, it was HOT out there!
Also, on the Okinawa, we didn't have all boilers running, we had only 3 out of 5 running, and that meant SHOWER HOURS or salt water showers.
We even had separate hours where we could drink from the water fountains, we had JP-5 coming out of one water fointain in the snake pit once!
