I am starting a ping list for people interested in Information Security, Information Warfare, and Information Privacy issues.
What this list isn't:
Don't expect this to be a replacement for Bugtraq, etc... I'm not going to post the dozens of vulnerabilities that are discovered each week. Don't expect subscribing to be an alternative to keeping your PC's patches up to date.
What this list is:
News articles about information security issues, ranging from information warfare to serious virus/worm warnings, identity theft, privacy laws, lawsuits, spam, hoaxes, etc. Some of the articles may be technical, some will be more policy oriented.
I will try to be concientious about posting more articles about these topics to FR.
Please reply to me if you see an article you'd like to have the list pinged on!.
I honestly can't say if this will be a high or low volume list, since it hasn't started yet... and high/low are subjective.
I don't intend to go crazy with this, so expect it to be "medium." ;)

Actually, this is not a personal computer oriented list, though there will be occasional alerts of a personal computer oriented nature.
Mostly it is oriented around stories relating to information warfare, security, and privacy issues.
I do this stuff for a living and would like to help bring important issues to the attention of fellow FReepers, and to debunk silly fear-mongering stories which often appear about InfoSec issues in the media. That, and generate some good discussion on this forum!

Don't know what a CISSP is but I've done postings as a COMSECO, an ITSECO, and more than a few years bouncing around the N2/N3-J2/J3 world.
