I think this is a great idea, they do something similar to this in England on 11/11. Everybody stops for the 60 seconds , even the FM style radio stations. I have to say the Brits know their history much better than our citizens know ours. Seems like this remembrance would be a good start, and a reminder that freedom is not free.

I stop every day of my life for a few thankful moments to remember the veterans.

"...asking all Americans worldwide to pause for 60 seconds at 3 p.m. local time May 31..."
If there were poetry in justice, Michael Moore would succumb to his diet at that exact moment.

"White House officials are asking all Americans worldwide to pause for 60 seconds at 3 p.m. local time May 31 Memorial Day to honor America's fallen and to recognize veterans and today's servicemen and women, particularly those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. "
Never Forget that Freedom is Not Free.
Memorial Day is a Day of Remembrance.
Enjoy your long weekend but honor those who gave their all.

FYI - I am getting duplicates...or in this case, triplicates. Was I supposed to? ...or was it a mistake?
Thanks.

I finished the fire academy and will be fitted for my reserve fire fighting gear next week. I am so proud to have the opportunity to be a reserve.
