...some dopey WH reporter actually asked McCellan if the reason this warning was being put out now is due to the President's "sinking" poll numbers... Was his name Matthews?

Monsur Ijaz on Fox now. He is most disturbed about the American citizens. Since we have done a very good job of blocking entry, they are moving to US citizens who have been recruited.

Agree. I'd bet those that are under surveillance were being watched and monitored real closely after this news conference. And I agree, some of these people are a lot more clever and sophisticated than most know. They've had a lot of time to plan something spectacular.

The very notion that such a thought could cross the mind of a member of the White House press corp after all that's happened these last three years is beyond disturbing to me. Unfortunately it is expected from this awful partisan press.

When John Ashcroft speaks -- I believe. And Mueller was more serious and impressive than usual.
To: Quilla
Whoa. I'd missed that. Thanks for the link!

Our government has to get it right every time...the terrorists only have to be successful once.

Yeah, I finally caught up with the thread! Took a while!
Here's a very interesting link just found while looking around for this Adam guy.
This has stories of new moslems from various countries, including Adam's story on the US section.

The pressure and strain Ashcroft and Mueller must be under is enormous. Perhaps that explains some, if not all of Mueller's demeanor.
We tend to overlook just how vast a country the United States is, although only a handful of others are as large or larger. The task of safeguarding this vast land is mind-boggling in its complexity and enormity.

Catching terrorists does not advance their agenda - abusing terrorists does. The majority of the media are terrorist enablers and sympathizers. When we do get hit again, the left and the media will blame it on President Bush's policy on terrorismIf we do get hit again, and I SURELY hope we don't... I would appreciate it if their selected targets were the major leftist TV and Newpaper establishments. It would be VERY interesting to see what the result of future reporting would be like.

One thing about the converts from the U.S., who knows how devoted or radical they will be in the end. Johnny Taliban was quite a coward. I hope he's the norm and not the exception.

indeed, its not easy. in many ways, the war on terror is more about fighting the media and the other enemies within (to steal Savage's line) - then it is about fighting the actual terrorists.
